Hey loves, you may notice some fuzziness. My recording settings weren't set as crisp and didn't realize it until a went to edit. It will be fixed next episode 😊

The girls can learn to knit as children, though unsure about the cross stitch but they can definitely start knitting animal clothing if you wanted to add that to the school day. You’d just need to afford the yarn basket which I understand I may be a push at the moment! 😊

I think they can cross stitch as children. I definitely want them to learn domestic skills. I'm hoping that we can focus on one skill each day that they're home. I love the suggestions!

with the self-discovery feature, Opal might feel she is more of a neat sim if she continues to clean and do other chores and stuff.

I only SIM I helped die was a dad who was always flirty around his teenage daughter... He would sit in her room,and sit and look at her when she was sleeping.... I built a basement... Got him down there... Removed the stairs....

I like playing vanilla while recording specifically for console players ❤️ The Sims 4 actually has quite a lot of story telling abilities if you know how to work within it. I do run mods in my own personal gameplay but, truth be told, I'm a bit of a minimalist.

This is one of the most interesting Sims LPs I’ve ever seen! Love learning about fundie stuff from The Watcher herself lol. But seriously, the real life info combined with the classic Sims challenge, and made even more interesting by the funny commentary and interesting community of characters (Poor Darling is an accidental standout) makes this series super unique, fun and educational. Looking forward to more!

Hey, quick tip, you don’t have to wash the clothes the full time. You just have to start it, and it counts as clean 😉. Also, still glad the Clark’s are going to private school. Four sims are out of the house during the day, and I need that break! 😅

It’s very exciting to see how we are starting to get into what the kids education will be like and see the personalities of the kids more. I’m actually super into how Opal is lazy because it could turn into where even though Opal and Amy are twins one could be into this lifestyle where as the other leaves… it feels there are so many possibilities and I’m excited to see them happen! Also I could see that you were frustrated with how you explained things, but just to reassure you, your explaining always is very clear and honest, I never have a hard time understanding what you are saying! ♥️

Thank you, Frenchie ❤️ I always think I do an okay job and then I get into editing and realize that I left something out, or that if you're hearing it for the first time, it might be confusing. I really can't wait to see how Opal and Amethyst take to homeschooling and how it shapes them. I think they should be pretty good at telling us whether they wants to stay or run for the hills!

I'm so glad youtube decided to put this series on my home feed; this is such a unique concept for a lp, I spent the past few hours binging 😂I can't remember if I saw a comment or not, are you planning on doing an AWANA type group for the kids now they're older?
@ErinPlaysSims

Welcome, welcome! I'm so glad you found the channel. I hadn't thought of AWANA, but we definitely need to!!! That would be a great kid's club! I was in it as a kid and it would be a great way to get the kids to gather on Wednesday nights.

Second Episode of the day down, goodness that one brought up memories of a youth group when a grown ass woman told my group of 10-15 year old girls that older men in the church had begun to fall because of "what we were wearing". And somehow non of the adults thought the men were the problem. I was 12. I am so glad your family put a stop to it immediately, my father amen'd when I came home and told them about the service and that started the phrase "men are visual" with my parents talking about our clothing and appearance. The tact with which you approach this topic and point out the wrong that it does without condemning the people themselves is amazing and as uncomfy as some of the subjects can be with people in general, and despite my personal experience, I really enjoy watching these. It's like therapeutic or something lol.
@ErinPlaysSims
@ErinPlaysSims Жыл бұрын
Oh, thank you! You remember the old "hate the sin, not the sinner" saying in church? Well, I'd rather just understand the action. It doesn't excuse poor behavior but it stops the do-er from being a monster and I believe that takes the power away from them. I remember having the EXACT SAME topic preached in MY youth group! My mother was furious, but that didn't stop them from saying it over and over to us. I know what you mean about it being therapeutic, I find that it's almost like therapy to play through, myself. I get re-live wrongs that I believe we're done and call it out, but you know... nicely, lol

Haven't been able to watch in a bit, but finally getting to sit down and work through the playlist! Always a good mix of fascinating and horrifying to hear about the indoctrination and control of knowledge and the depths it goes.

No worries! I like to let the series I'm watching pile up a bit so that I can binge episodes, lol. I'm not patient enough to watch an episode and then wait a whole week for another one. It's kind of like a trainwreck. You feel like you should look away. You just can't. And I think that the more we talk about it, the harder it is for bad actors to hide.

I am early awaiting the first birth of my new fundies. There backstory is that one of them was in witness protection. They were sequestered away in this small faith led town. Where they fell in love and were indoctrination into the fundie cult.

I loved the video and the way you explained things. Hah I thought it was a boy as well. I can't wait to see how you homeschool and how the new baby grows. Ideas for Homeschool days I considered was the girls have to help mom with cooking with cook together. Needle point and knitting sweing and cleaning. Art and social skills are a must For boys helping in the garden and with animals mental and physical skills as well as social. I love the idea of school projects. And think they should be included. I also think they should be required to journal and of course, be corrected when misbehave. Or that is how I plan on doing it. I think kids should learn to ride bikes as a possible at least the boys At least these things I am considering but I am homeschooling every day. Instead of grades for age up when they complete a certain aspiration level or skill level in required skills they can age up. Me personally am doing this with out early aging so it will take me longer but I prefer the slower game play to the hectic rush. I would consider giving each a hobby item they can use. And having that be their family contribution until they get married and move out. For boys could be fishing. Girls art or knitting flower agfanging ect...
@ErinPlaysSims
@ErinPlaysSims Жыл бұрын
I love those suggestions! I'm thinking that school projects could be gotten from the building/buy menu if you want to play with them. Homework can be purchased from bookcases. I invision having the kids do "homework" everyday and then the girls helping mom with cooking, cleaning, and childcare (maybe gathering eggs and cleaning animals). Boys will help dad with the gardening and when they get into being teens, they'll help with handiness. They'll work on their charisma and science skills, too. I love the idea of giving every kiddo a hobby and having them contribute. I would love to have them help make and sell canned good, but we'll see!
