IT Support Interview Questions: Public IP vs Private IP Address

Best answer to this question would be probably: “Private IP addresses are not routed to public internet and should never be routed” Also point 6. where you said that all IPs except private ranges are public is not true. There are some ranges that are not used publicly: 127.0.0.0/8 is loopback, 169.254.0.0/16 are link-local IP addresses, 224.0.0.0/8-239.0.0.0/8 is multicast, 240.0.0.0-255.255.255.254 are for future use (I wonder when this future will be 😀)
