THIS IS SUPER IMPORTANT!! I want to make this clear that straight cis men can ALSO be Pansies too, and this doesn't mean you have to be inherently queer or LGBT to experience this discrimination. It's an issue with the patriarchal world at large. The only reason why I focus so much on queer identity is because that is MY experience. However, there are many cis, straight men who may present stereotypical (JUST LIKE STEVE) who just want to enjoy a pinky drinky lifestyle and that's OKAY! It's why I chose to use that as a perfect example of how simple it is to stray from what is perceived inherently masculine! Love you all!

It's interesting to see how these things affect people in different parts of the world. Here in Southern California, no one would bat an eye at your appearance. I get culture shock when I leave my little bubble and I see people caring so much about what other people wear.

As a tomboy who doesn't fit the stereotypical feminine and is just being herself instead, you've got all my support on "going against" what is stereotypically masculine and being yourself. Also interesting random facts about the French word LOL Nice video overall, talking about this it's the only way to step up this silly old stereotypes we're still so attached today that continue to keep us in a little box when we can express ourselves in so many different ways despite the sex we're born it.

I’m so sorry to hear that people are such jerks to you, they often treat me like that too, as I’m both feminine and masculine and that really confuses people. I’ve got long hair, and a beard. I love knitting and sewing, but also blacksmithing. I’m also short and not muscular and hate sports. This means that I confuse and annoy basically every narrow-minded straight person since they can’t even agree on what stereotype to call me. One of my favourite things to do is to confuse the homophobes. If they shout “hey, you’re gay!” at me in the street, I look at them and smile and say “yes, well spotted!” This completely breaks their internal ideas of how that social interaction should be going, and they are lost for words and shut down. This is a tactic that comes from being tempered in the fires of going to a homophobic school in the early 2000’s, and being the only out queer person in the entire school.

You sound WONDERFUL 😍 I am in awe of your expression! And I adore your response to people calling you out like that! Like the famous Oscar Wilde once said "always agree with your enemies, nothing annoys them so much!" I see you and appreciate you! 🙏🏼

Love this video and the skits had me laughing out loud! 😂 In my own experiences, the typical man’s man toxic masculinity stereotype honestly garners a form of fear from me. I’ve had not so great experiences with this type such as, getting followed, harassed, or verbal harassment in public. I’m all for going against the system! Keep being yourself, pinky drink all! 🍹

Nice to hear these thoughts formulated so well! I get so frustrated with that 'if you're queer you're weaker' mentality sometimes. Comforting to know I'm not alone with that.

It's actually a poetic metaphor about his state of mind 🧐 His objective self feels so integrated into a judgemental society that he feels truly invisible 🫥 As if his actions are merely programmed responses to literally "blend in". However, one day he hopes to embrace his true sense of self and release himself from the expectations of the world he finds himself in, embracing a sense of permanence and individuality... He's doing this slowly but surely....One pinky drinky at a time... 🍹 (REALLY I just made a mistake and my keying went wrong 👀 but it looked so funny I left it in. But also yeah, poetry 👀)

Breaks my heart you have to deal with so much nasty behavior from strangers. It isn't perfect, over here in the US, but I admit my state has safer spaces for many of us queerfolx. You don't deserve any of the mistreatment; none of us just trying to go about our lives deserve that. 🥺 You look STUNNING in that goth outfit-you're always stunning, lol!-and I bet you so many of those fools who harass you are just jealous! *I don't understand why people can't mind their own god damn business.* It reminds me of the time I had someone try to 'save' me at Walmart with my uncle (I have very, very, very *MILD* CP for context and I use a walker). Yet *_he_* didn't need to be 'saved'....hmmmmm, hypocrite much? me: *in my light blue walker, following my uncle* 'her': *poor region soul imposing her will* May I pray with you? me: *hides behind me uncle like a 5 year old even though I'm in my mid-20s* uncle: *says No Thanks and turns to me* me: *shakes my head silently as I feel briefly angry and wonder **_Why me?_* Did that _need_ to happen? No... but guess because I'm 'different' and 'not normal' I *MUST* need saving. (Thanks for the memory, Victor)
