I've had that Pike hit on a fish happen to me when I was fly fishing. I'd hooked a nice 3 ½ lb rainbow, got it to within 3ft from the boat and it got hit by a 20lb plus Pike. He took a massive chunk right out of the Trout's middle and the F'd off back into the depths of the lake. I had to declare it as one of my 6 fish bag.... Proper gutted, he'd taken a large portion of it, so not much for my dinner left.
