I don't understand all the hating on routes when you like showcases. The feature did start off bad but basically, make a route between two pokestops where you often walk and get free XP and stuff at the end. Not as amazing as the showcase rewards and a little more annoying to remember when to start and stop the route but free stuff for something you were doing anyway. Even if you don't have two pokestops, you can make a loop route and basically any movement counts toward the route, so you can set the loop overnight and by morning you have all the distance you need from it to complete it. Of course, they don't do a good job of promoting routes and this event actually punishes people who do routes regularly because with the cell limit, we can't claim the timed research to get non-cell rewards at the end. I think this feature could be easily more popular if the route pokemon had a chance of being from regions other than your own. To me, it doesn't make sense to have pokemon from our own region spawn: we already get those! But the chance to get a tropius or other rare regional for people who don't travel would be a great incentive.

My Zygard is 14/10/14. One thing I've noticed is that routes have no speed limit so you can do them while A PASSENGER in a car or on the bus.

And for people who are crazy enough to max out their Zygarde cells and have a Complete Form Zygarde at the same time, you can’t complete the Year of the Snake Timed Research and you’d be forced to waste 200 cells in order to finish the research Just in: Just learned that apparently now the Zygarde cell count maxes out at 300 cells instead of 250

I wish zygarde 10% was a rare spawn along routes, like the route-equivalent of a galarian bird. Then, if niantic wants to sell another zygarde in the future, they could release the shiny exclusively in special research. Would also be cool if zygarde cells turned into zygarde candy if you overcap

At this point I feel like Drowzee is rare legendary more then the legendary birds....so far I had over 30 encounters with legendary birds but not a single encounter with Drowzee for Meltan quest :D Zygarde: 13/11/13 still collected the cells and now im 55 cells into next Zygarde if or when he drops

My Zygarde has a 2 star appraisal and I only have 5 Zygarde cells I don't do the Routes the only route I have close by is my local mall and most of the time when I'm in my local mall I'm leaving work and don't have time to do the route and only so many hours every day Monday thru Friday that I could do the route so I don't see the point in doing the route so why bother also the pokedex update was removed probably because of the glitch that allowed players to see the shinys not released in pokemon go yet

THE LIMIT ON CELLS PER DAY WASNT INCREASED. meaning if you do 1 route and collect the 10 after thats all you'll get. You have to do your 3 routes first then collect the 10 😂😂😂 Niantic strikes again
