I’m in my 60s, semi-retired, slowly trying to return to my abandoned art making dreams from college. To just get my toes into an art market, to be acknowledged by one, single, buying stranger, to be able to buy more supplies from the proceeds - THAT is my plateau and long dream. Nothing else at this point.

Nice bit of insight. Fits well wiith my own experience. I noticed, years ago, that I would be 'on a high' for several days if I overcame a tough problem and at the same time grew in my understanding: kind of a "breakthrough" moment but with the added benefit of becoming more empowered. Without the added power, it wouldn't have been such a big deal.
