I restored this wristwatch. The watch suffers water damage and heavy wear. The case has no shape at all and the gold plating is totally damaged. It took me one year to finish this restoration. A lot of parts were rusty and had to be cleaned, repaired or replaced. I made one step forward and two backwards until I got all parts done. The huge challange was to reshape and restore the case without damage it. Finally I was able to finish the restoration of this lovely watch. Here we are... enjoy watching 😊 Please turn comment on!

Indeed a year well spent. It is an heirloom quality timepiece in which to be proud. This was more a resurrection, than a restoration. Well done.

Thank you for sharing, great work and beautiful watch. Although I personally would have kept the original dial and date ring. The "TEMPOMATIC" in particular had a really nice look on the old one.

Hello! Could you tell me please what watch movement is pictured in your KZbin channel’s profile photo? It is absolutely stunning!! So much beautiful metal work. I think one of the techniques used for decorating the movement is called “damaskeen?” (at least in the U.S.). Keep up the great work!!
@MagicWatchmaking Жыл бұрын
This movement is a Buren calibre 1321 equipped with 30 jewels. It is an artifact of history and innovation, dating from 1962 and has automatic micro rotor and date indication. It is only 3.2mm thick ☺️ It is also the base of the iconic Breitling calibre 11, the Chronomatic/project 99 Consortium uniting Heuer-Léonidas SA, Léon Breitling SA, Hamilton-Büren and chronograph specialist Dépraz & Co. This joint-venture conceived the Calibre 11 (or Chronomatic, depending on the brand using the movement), a modular construction based on a micro-rotor Buren movement and a Dépraz chronograph mechanism. A Master engraver located in Germany engraved it for me, and both of us built after that a Breguet looking dial and and watch case. This watch is unique and limited to one out of one worldwide 🤗
