I have a 2001 E150 with the 5.4 and I love it. I've had people ask if it's for sale and each time it's no, not for sale. It's honestly been one of the most reliable vehicles I've owned and I'll probably keep driving her until the body quits. Good bet the much simpler 5l in that one will just keep on going. Van's don't accelerate down the road, they advance at the speed of van, whatever that happens to be. (And it changes sometimes it's happy cruising at 55 other times it wants to GO!)

The van is coming along just fine, love what you're doing on the interior, wouldn't change anything. It's definitely a keeper in my book. Unless someone has a ruler in their pocket, no one is going to notice that gap, in the back; but dial it in what you can as long as nothing is hitting and you're good to go. My brother's '79 Camaro had awful gaps with the hood and fenders when it was brand new, and yours looks perfect by comparison. Great video and standing by for the next one. 👍✨

I think mine was kinda a morphodite, I found a early sixties model that was a camper conversion and brought it home on my wrecker and just parked it to look at as a project in making. I got the whole body loose from its original frame, blocked it and then gutted out that carpet interior that had died sadly. I found what rust was in it and repaired every floor pan or other till clean. I had a badly wrecked highboy and it was really a mess but time is your friend. I matched up every body point, and same front to back but ready for the van body. I did have to raise the body four inches to get good steering and all. I found a wrecked lincoln with the 5.0 engine, throttle body an other stuff that makes lincoln a nice ride and matched as much as possible across to the van for comfort, and used the divorced transfer case.... then got real serious and made it look factory. Bumper to bumper was tight and right. I had a friend who did carpets all his life and when he seen it almost begged for this job so you know how nice that turned out. I did the four link in front and six link in back to get rid of the leaf springs and went air all the way round. It was all in primer when someone seemed way too interested in it. He offered a lot of money for it and I said no... a week later while I was at a store, my van is gone and no trace anywhere of it or even seen. I do remember it well as I had a lot of hours in it and for that matter... only constellation was I did get to drive it in primer for a couple of days to shake it down so to see if I missed anything. Good to go and scheduled for paint as its something I am not too good at. That was all in 1997 when this happened and I want to believe someone has seen it. That much work wouldn't go to a chop shop I hope.... and you have a shop to kill for!

Whats the purpose of the upper barrel, solely to radiate heat?
@willhooke2 жыл бұрын
With metal fireplaces, the heat goes straight out the chimney Like a freeway for the exhaust Russians build brick fireplaces that capture the heat from the exhaust gases They have a slow exhaust system, if you will With the double barrel, it's that sort of idea; it slows the exhaust so you're getting more value from the fuel you burn So yes, more radiant heat 🔥🔥

Typically plugs of that era had center electrodes with sharp edges. Yours are rounded. That is a sign those plugs have many miles on them. They will still work but not as well as new ones would.
