I love Furch’s! I’ve bought four of them. I gave one to my daughter- (actually a Stonebridge) GC22AdM-C. I had a Furch Orange OM-SR SS that I just sold so I could buy a Vintage 3 D-SR which is on the way. I still have my first one- a Stonebridge G22CR-C that I bought in 2012 and will never sell.

The dreadnought sounds buzzy/ jangly at times (beginning). The OM is great. I have a a Furch Red OM nylon string.

I had planned on buying either a Taylor or a Larrivee, but when compared to the slope shoulder Furch dread i went with the Furch. Love it! Projects so well for my finger picking but doesnt buzz with strumming with pick. Im a furch evangelist too. (As many owners become).

At least through the mix, the OM had great focus and clarity. I never thought I would prefer an OM to a Dred, but all I have are Dreds so the OM really perked up my ears.

I own two Furchs (a Vintage 00M 12 fret and a Blue Gc-CM) and am a huge fan of the brand. Just listening to the comparison, (no peeking) i had them reversed. I was surprised to see that the OM sounded more powerful and better overall than the dreadnaught.

I have the Furch Vintage III Dreadnaught and it’s amazing! As others have pointed out, it sounds like there is an issue with the Dreadnaught you are testing in in this video.

I hope all you are saying is truth about the developement and the quality, since they are brand from my country and Furch is really cherrished here lately. But I remember like even maybe 3-4y ago they had some weird stuff on their official website, like all wood is sorted out and graded by their wood supplier, which was pretty odd for instruments making company. I know they are pushing many inovations lately and they are tuning their tops inhouse if you order their higher-end line. They looks great and sound really nice for sure.

The dread sounds like it needs different or new strings. I have a Furch Vintage 2 dreadnought and it projects a lot better than the one you're playing.

As was already pointed out, the Dread sounded floppy/buzzy. By chance, does it have light gauge strings on it? I'm a Dread guy but in this comparison, the OM is the winner.
