My husband is German so we are very used to those meal items and flavors. Did you have a potato pancake? Most German restaurants serve those. My mouth was drooling when I saw the red cabbage. Did they serve roulade? It is a piece of tender beef, rolled up with a light stuffing and a pickle inside! Nice that you tried something different. Here in Michigan we have a city called Frankenmuth ~ they have hotels, restaurants & German shops throughout the city. There are even horse & buggy rides! I live about 20 miles away & I remember when I was young & my children were young going there! ☺️

I meant to comment on Titus socks the other day and forgot. He was putting boots on and I noticed them, he didn’t say anything about them. I wondered if he got them at the sock store y’all went into not long ago. The food like it was fine, but kinda typical tourist type place. Y’all spoiled with your good cookin! ✍Hello Moss Family...Your blackberry pancakes look delicious. Love the way Manley makes his peanut butter sandwich spreads a little then a big glob and presses it out...ha ha ha !! Years ago I tried a German meal I think it was called Beef Rolladin and it was served with a pickle that was baked in it, a side of red cabbage and potatoes. It was good but definitely different. My brother was stationed in Wutzburg Germany in the late 80’s. My parents and I went and stayed with him for 2 weeks!! It was amazing!! We love pork and chicken schnitzel!! I have since introduced my husband and children to German food. They love it too!!

We have not been to Helen in years and it's only about a 3 hr drive north. Love seeing yall out and about. Those pecan covered marshmallows looked delicious. Would be fun to make some! Our preacher wears crazy socks. Sure wish yall still had a PO Box !! Would send Titus some funky socks lol. Yes love the smell of fresh cut grass.

Happy summer break! I enjoyed your fishing spot and trip to Helen-the sights, shops and restaurant. I'm half German and enjoy many dishes. You may want to try rouladen. It's German comfort food. It's a tenderized piece of steak wrapped around bacon, onion, mustard and a dill pickle. It's simmered in brown gravy. A different taste, but very good. Looking forward to more summer adventures❤

Soda tastes so much better in glass bottles :). That German village is just adorable. Love the smell of freshly mown grass :) Did you know there is actually a fragrance oil for soaps & candles that smells JUST LIKE IT? Truly. It's amazing what some people can do :). I love schnitzel (but not veal). And spaetzle (I think Jonah had that with cheese on it?). YUM YUM. That was really cool that you tried something different! Of course I’m late as always but schnitzel is one of my boys favorite meals! Got the recipe from Publix years ago. We do the cubed pork schnitzel (which is super cheap)coated in egg n bread crumbs then shallow fried. Serve with a jar of sweet sour cabbage (purple) with apple chunks and onions and a tad of cinnamon ….sounds crazy but so so so good! And I’m telling ya my picky boys love it!! It’s a birthday meal request for one of them 😂

Wow. My husband and I need to come out there and visit those shops. He's mostly German and we LOVE German food. We headed down to Fredericksburg TX in the camper last month and they have excellent food. Can't remember which schnitzel I had but the cabbage and everything was to die for. Now y'all have made me hungry again but it's a 4 1/2 drive down there pulling a 5th wheel. Titus had exactly what I would have had. Y'all are so lucky you have so many places to take the kids. Manley made the best pb sandwich because he made sure to pat the bread. 😆 The horse gets tips of carrot treats. Manley would be going for a month if he drank an energy drink. 🤣 There is a walk over bridge called Robert Redden Footbridge in Rome, Ga that has a bunch of love locks on the bridge railing and people threw the key in the water but I am not fond of that part because of the water life that will swallow them and I don't think it's good for the water either. German food is good.
