The week started off with some unexpected news for us and kept getting more and more interesting. The roofers showed up unannounced and we had another graduation for Amber. 7:08 we cross hatch the inside of the potatoes and do them the same way until they are about done, then we turn them over and sprinkle them with paprika. We call them crisscross potatoes.

I love these week long videos. Actually I love all of your videos and the longer the better! My daughter planted strawberries in a raised bed last year and got some but not too many. Nice to see your sweet family. The strawberry bed looks great. I planted some June bearing strawberries this year in a raised bed. I dread having to pull off the blooms this year! For mosquitoes I use a fabric sheet placed (dryer) in my back pocket then one in the front of my shirt with half sticking up towards my face works everything. Hope this helps!

Some sticks and logs in your garden bed first to about 3/4 full would have helped with the amount if soil you would need

I planted a bunch of seeds in April, but not of them germinated. I planted some more seeds yesterday and I am hoping these ones will germinate! I planted corn, cucumber, sweet peppers, jalapeno peppers, and three types of tomatoes.

We just got a land guard raised garden to take the place of my old garden bed . So far I really like it. I might get another one too depending how this one works. Hi there... I'm so happy to see you got a raised bed. Most of our (here in my world) gardening is done in raised beds... or growing pots or even straw bales. One of the things my husband does to help with filling in at the bottom of a raised bed is to put wood (as in pieces of what most people would think as fire wood.. but not really). The pieces of wood take up space, save you on the amount of soil as well as top soil you would put in there. Also it breaks down quite naturally and somewhat slowly, so in addition to the alternative soil that you use from your own land is a good foundation for your raised beds. Since most roots of vegetables don't go so deep, it seems wise to fill the bottom portion with less substantial and less expensive soil.

I live in northern Wisconsin and planted a whole raised bed of strawberry plants a few years back. None of them survived winter that year and came back. Not sure if they froze too much in the raised bed. Maybe wait and see if they come back next year before getting more. I spent so much on them and was out all that money.

Congratulations to your daughter 🎉!! My daughter just graduated this week from community College with an AA degree🎉 then my husband and I dropped her and husband off at the airport. Our baby has flown the nest to live her new life in Florida. I'm a mess😢 Hot soup in the summer 😅that's what we do. We are Mexican and I swear hot soup is better in the summer 😅 I think we have more hot soup in the summer then we do in the fall and winter.

I use old coffee grinds for mosquitos, i dry them out and put in old candle holders or a mason jar, add a drop or 2 of alcohol or hand sanitzer to the coffee and light it up, for some reason, they hate it, it has worked for all my family here in NC, hope it works for you (also only used outside) by doors and openings. xxxxxx

I’ve been hearing about the plug in devices that attract mosquitoes . Lots of commenters are telling me how good they are.

@@acountrylife this is actually a device for outside. My parents have one on their property. It's connected to a propane tank that attracts and kills them within a certain radius. Dad empties the container once a week or so and thousands are inside. Our property we are never bitten. Neighbors we get eaten alive. Obviously it would be for the area around your house and not for the property at large.

You probably found the right one. They do offer gas promotions, but I use it mostly for restaurants. The cash back is usually between 6%-17%, which isn't too bad. What’s clickbait about her title? It said Maria didn’t think it was that bad….? There’s nothing clickbait about that at all. Nothing has changed from her videos. I’ve been subscribed for years and she’s one of a handful who’s remained true to herself and her family. It’s always been homeschooling, Down syndrome awareness, motherhood, food, faith, and family. I challenge you to find one video on her channel that doesn’t revolve around one, or all, of those topics. You won’t find one… Just out of curiosity-are you the exact same person today as you were let’s say 10 years ago? I certainly hope not. We are designed by God to change, grow, evolve-if Jennifer has changed at all it’s all been for the better. I’m not sure if you’re new to this KZbin thing. Just in case you are, let me help you out. None of us are held hostage here. If whatever she’s doing is “running thin” on you the good news is no one is holding a gun to your head forcing you to watch. Oh no! I was worried it was broken on your last video! I broke my 5th metatarsal exactly 2 years ago. I was in a splint, cast, and boot and non weight bearing for 8 months. (For perspective- I am in my 40s and have heart issues that delayed healing) It was not fun at all. Heal up soon, Maria!!

We just put a new roof on this week, I had the 30 year shingles that didn’t last, they were recalled also, roofs are expensive. I fed them also and brought them drinks, the owner said they don’t get treated like that often.
