“I wonder if that was my fault “ 😂 No, you can clearly see the ground come up and hit the plane.

thought u were flying on the edge of the critical angle the whole time. those turns were tighter than you think
@EssentialRC4 жыл бұрын
Could be but when I hoon around like that I do over power so as not to stall. I think my lipo wasn't fully charged. I had left them for a week at full charge. I should have put them back on the charger to top them up in the morning. Another lesson learnt.

@@EssentialRC Stalling is not about power, or airspeed, it's all about angle of attack... But no matter what the cause was, you deserve a lot of respect for showing us the crashes as well as the successes! I know the feeling all too well :)

Hard bank angles can cause a stall or a crash
@johanveltheim43314 жыл бұрын
@@leanneblanton2262 No, banking doesn't cause a stall by itself, it's the attempt to maintain altitude by increasing the AoA (by pulling the stick) that does.

but seriously thanks for showing all the content. who doesn’t love a crash after a month

That looked like Ramys crash with his 787. Wings with that high aspect ratio seem to not be very forgiving.

Well, we don't see you crash very often. I hope there's not too much damage 😥
@EssentialRC4 жыл бұрын
Not often these days Dave thankfully. Repairs in progress. Cheers.

Nice flight while it lasted. Great looking aircraft in the sky for sure. On that final turn it looked like it first slowed down close to stall, then lost all air speed when it was hard over to the right almost vertical which then took away all the lift causing the crash. It was also too low to have time even for some speed up recovery. Actually, I thought it would have been damaged more than it was. Maybe the fact that it came apart easily saved it from more damage. Maybe some times not enough glue might be a good thing. Looking forward to seeing it fly again. Happy Flying.

Looks like it was flying very stable up until the crash. Luckily it wasn't THAT bad.

Good VID as always.. Hobby eagal pro BRILLIANT flight controller... One thing though... Fly it on stability mode NOT trainer mode.. It can make your servos sticky... Depending on the initial setup when you do your max travels.. Max travels on stability is fine. Not on trainer mode... Mind you they always say if your in an airplane crash best place to be is in the BACK.... PERHAPS THEY SKIMP ON THE CLUE TO... stay well Brian London
@EssentialRC4 жыл бұрын
Def wasn't in trainer mode Brian. Didn't have that assigned to the 3 position switch. That mode brings the aircraft back to level if release the sticks! Wouldn't want that.

In the video the plane fluttered just before it dove to the ground. Maybe it was pilot error, but it didn't look like it...per se. As far as critical angle, it was flying a little slow but I think, not that slow. It looks like your plane will fly again...looking forward to it. Cheers!

Did you not feel the right stick shaking???? Right wing tip stalled and it fell in the well......
@johnnyg36814 жыл бұрын
Yes, I saw that flutter, right wing tip but it didn't look like pilot error.
Very realistic, it flew just like the Boeing 737 MAX, straight into the ground !

Hello, a question was the remote control with the plane or do you have to buy it extra?

You're all far more experienced than I so please forgive my possible ignorance, but to me she looks a bit nose heavy? Just in the way it looked in level flight topped with the possible takeoff issues?
@EssentialRC4 жыл бұрын
The balance point (i.e. CG) is actually much further back than the manufacturer recommends so I really don't think so. Take off issue was because my battery was not fully charged.

Nice flight until it went down. Servo failure?
@EssentialRC4 жыл бұрын
I've been repairing it this morning and I think that one of the motors shorted out because one of the phase wires rubbed against the outrunner motor. The motor would have stopped and caused a yaw effect. That's my excuse anyway.
