One thing a lot of people overlooked which you guys didn't is that even tho Sae shifted his dreams to becoming the best midfielder cause he doesn't think he can be the best striker, he still believes that Rin can become the best striker in which Rin rejected the idea of

Sae really went to Europe and the biggest club in the world and got realized he really wasn’t all that. He got glazed his entire childhood and the second he went to the bigger leagues he got humbled. There’s always a bigger fish in the ocean

Ironically if it weren’t for Sae’s words Rin would’ve already quit playing soccer but because of it, it just gave a reason for Rin to continue playing

17:01 I thought of it as Rin wanting to crush his brother's dream to be a midfielder. That Rin thought that if he could finally beat Sae, they could share the dream to be the best strikers in the world again.

Sae likely realized that playing internationally was a different game. Someone might have said something hurtful that made him change his mind, acknowledging that even though he wanted to be the top striker, surpassing the best striker in the world was a tough goal. This could be why he switched to midfield.
@ismael43948 сағат бұрын
Yeah Sae’s position is midfielder, not striker. When he’s first introduced in s1 he says “there’s not a forward (striker) in this country good enough to receive my passes” However we can also see by how he scored the first goal of the match how he can also score as well, it’s because of how he used to be a striker. I think Rin is in the wrong in this argument fs, cause ain’t nothing wrong with wanting to play a different position

I did it on patreon but I'm summoning my brothers so that you check out the trailers for Lord of The Mysteries, another chinese anime(donghua) coming out next year. The rest of the comment is a small glimpse of why you should watch it as it is one of the greatest webnovels ever written and it even joined the national library of China earlier this year with how big it is over there. Absolute masterpiece of a story even though the first arc is off-putting for a lot of people since it's setting up the base for the entire world with alot of informations given to us. It's going as far as setting up a real currency and political system for every countries. We got confirmation that every episode will be more than 30 minutes long with at least 12 episodes for 5 seasons confirmed which would translate to half of the book (volume 4/5 out of 8) It has one of the greatest power systems in anything I've seen/heard of and changes genres throughout time. We got more than 10 pathways each starting from sequence 9 then sequence 8 etc with each of them having different abilities and needing a ritual to go to the next level. The fun fact here is that the higher you go, the more likely you are to become insane, so people that are your teammates today will become horrible monsters tomorrow. It starts off as a mystery/horror/police thing as we follow a team of policemen tasked to destroy evil beings in their city and it expands much more into an epic/horror/historical tale that knows no bounds. The secondary characters are very memorable since we get their point of views for a while from time to time. The main character uses his cheat to act as a god and make his own cult which becomes the main cast. The antagonists are TERRIFYING and bully the others throughout the whole show (they're here since episode 1 lol) Definitely recommend reading at least the first volume before the anime comes out.

Damn so Sae telling is own brother who idolizes him "Then quit, you have no value and I dont need you in my life" just because he got humbled and gave up on his dream doesnt make him a bad person?
@MukatutuСағат бұрын
It may make him a bad brother in that moment, but it depends if his intention was to light a fire under Rin's ass to start hyper improving. He said something under his breath to the U20 team similarly in the last episode, something like "You spoiled brats finally have some motivation now, huh?". His way of communicating seems to be more on the a-hole side but with hidden good intentions underneath. I think Sae lost his dream to be the best Striker when he joined the global royale team thing, he may have gotten humbled by global level strikers and realised he couldn't be the best STRIKER, but his natural talents lead him more towards being a midfielder. In this match he seems like a godly do-it-all guy who can probably be the best striker but we don't know the kind of monsters that are present in the global top teams so he might not even be able to SCORE in those matches. He's already being intercepted by a full striker team in this match. He also felt extra shitty because Rin kept using him as an excuse to play football, and now that he changed his dream (possibily due to being humbled and losing confidence), he felt a bit of shame/anger when Rin uses him as an excuse to play or not to play football. "Then I have no reason to play anymore" Probably really pissed Sae off while also making him feel shame, and hence he gave actual solid advice paired with his harsh words, "Then quit".

If I had a nickel every time I watched Lee bring up his virginity pact with his friends, I'd have two, which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice LOL (I swear you've mentioned this before😂) anime has taught me that people really can't change their plans without it being a major dealbreaker to any type of relationship😂

Sae promised and sold Rin a dream of becoming the best striker and withdrew the whole support system. He broke his part of the deal and that is why Rin called him out for going back on his words. Sure Sae got humbled, but Rin too was working his bum off to get scouted. Rin was just as emotionally invested as his brother toward their goal. And now just because Sae chose 'Update' his dream, all of Rin's work is down the fkin drain.
@user-FAMAS4 сағат бұрын
So? Deal with it. Just because your underage brother who wasn't aware of the world before faces the reality and finds a new path to be the best, doesn't mean that you can still. And if you don't want it that way, quit before makes you unhappy. Sae can't give away his just to fulfill the wishes of the fraud (Rin)
@jcrossjg33 сағат бұрын
@user-FAMAS As an older myself. It sucks that the older siblings get put on a pedestal. I fault and understand both of them. I blame Sae for not properly communicating and then calling Rin garbage and cutting ties with him I could never do that to my lil bro.. Rin has the right to mad since he doesn't fully understand Sae position. Sae was hurt the worst because he did sell Rin a dream, and he came back a failure. It's just Rin looked to him as a hero. I think both could've been more mature since that reunion.
