Like others have already commented, Yhwach’s name is based on Yahweh: God’s Hebrew name. And the quincy elites are his celestial guard. (a hella promotion for Askin 😂) Another bible-themed enemy faction is the Goddess Clan, in "Nanatsu Taizai": There's the Supreme Deity (God) and Her elite crew, the four archangels, Mael and co. But it's the Seraphim that are the highest-ranked angels. Archangels are just third-class soldiers.

Lille has 3 abilities: 1. Anything in between his gun and his target would be shot, there cannot be any concept of guarding. 2. Whenever he opens his 2nd eye. His body would become intangible (That's why shunsui's sword went through him). 3. When in holy form, including the above 2 abilities. Whoever lays eyes on his form is paralysed on spot and the holes in his wings becomes the rifle. Shunsui harming lille while in intangible state during his bankai is a beyond crazy feat imo

An explanation about Shunshi's bankai that I got from another video: "His bankai tells a story of a couple committing suicide first one of them attacks the other and feels regret(the incurrable sickness occurs) and after that they decide to commit suicide and both jump into a lake(while there spiritual pressure gets drained to 0) but one of them betrayed the other and tries to swim his way out, but he regrets it and that regret eventually kills him(the throat cutting thread shunsui used is symbolizing his regret for trying to swim out). The bankai is insipired by a real japanese theater play. But Kubo said in a QA that Shunsui his bankai can make any story he wants but it has to be a real japanese play." It's like the Kabuki Theater with the acts. For anyone who already watched the Wano Arc in One Piece, that's exactly what Oda did with the separation in Acts in Wano.

Well, there was a filler arc called the Zanpakuto Rebellion, in which a Muramasa Zanpakuto could control a Zanpakuto to attack its own owners. Although the entire arc is filler, and its events, Tite Kubo helped them in this arc by creating the visuals of all the Zanpakuto for them to use, including Ohana. So, although the events are filler, the visuals of the Zanpakuto are canon, so if you want to take a look, you can see what the Zanpakuto of each important Shinigami looks like.

The spirit that represents his shikai, which turns childrens games into reality, takes the form of a small purple haired child, while his bankai which turns a traditional japanese play into reality, takes the form of the woman you saw, its like how ichigo had both white and old man zangetsu, even tho old man zangetsu more came from his quincy side, he was still a part of ichigos zanpakuto

For some context, Shunsui's Bankai is simple but pretty complicated. It has the ability to manifest the "plot" of a theatre performance, and binds anyone within its range to the plot. There is no stopping it because its not an attack, its the story. Shunsui can choose any story he wants, and does use others in side stories. The story he chose is a version of a classic tragic romance, where there are two star crossed lovers who cannot live be because of circumstances beyond their control. The story ends with one of them committing suicide, which was the tree in the beginning, it was a hanging tree.

21:08 Stark lost not because he was over powered, but because Shunsui out played him. They were playing the game that causes varying amounts of damage by calling out a color. The more of the color you're wearing and I THINK the less the opponent is wearing, both increase the damage taken. We saw this based on Shunsui calling grey and then cutting Stark's arm. Stark said that it felt like his arm should be gone even though it was a small cut. Shusui out maneuvered him by throwing off his coats so that he was in just his black robe. He then called black and hit stark in one of the only places that was black on his body, his Hollow hole. His body essentially started crumbling out from his hole after that.

Here's my head canon. The romance and attempted double suicide actually happened in Shunsui's past, thousands of years ago in his youth. He was a nameless new recruit with an ausuchi when they jumped in the river. He survived, she did not. Instead, she imprinted on the ausuchi and became Katen Kyōkotsu. As for that little girl, he's known as one of the 3 old guard with Yamamoto. He would have known the OG captains making Shunsui 10,000+ years old. It's 100% believable that he would remember that >9,500 year younger version of himself as a foolish child.

Lillie looks like a biblically accurate angel. Most of angels on mythology are barely humanoid - its all screaming flaming wheels, multiple heads, burning eyes and screaming. Its taken to the point that an angel's appearance is supposed ti drive fear into those who see them, sometimes even driving them insane. I get for example not realizong that Aizen's transformations were modeles after Lucifer, but Lillie outright states his form is closest to god and all quincies have angel motifs.

For everyone defending Lille it's nice and all but it's not really a transformation. That is what his actual Vollständig when both his eyes are open. He is just like a specific Espada being the only Quincy to have a Vollständig with a second form to it. So it's not a transformation it is a power he recieved by Yhwach. Just like all of them they all have their own Vollständig. Even he doesn't consider it a transformation. Also yes it is hok being an angel but that is more into his second stage of his Vollständig. Again people don't read as he even states he can't be killed by any weapon. They are always brain dead and go "cool fight" and not pay attention to the story in front of them.

A very cool tidbit about Chocolate Ingles and Lille Barro. Although the rules are a bit different, Chocolate Ingles seems to originate from Portuguese-speaking countries in South America. Given that Barro also seems to be South American in origin, one can assume that Lille must be a Quincy from South America. However, as Quincy are very much Nazi Germany-inspired--in fact Yhwach's Royal Guard are literally named the Schutzsaffel (the SS) in the manga--it seems very likely that Lille himself is a reference to the Nazis who fled and escaped to Argentina and other South American countries and established towns and villages. Just a very cool detail on Kubo's part
