5:35 had me in stitches 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I play ash valley alot as I live in bishops Stortford which is close it's a great course but it's a long course specially to walk best I done was 98

Played the front 9 today.. tough time I tell you! I recommend barkway though it’s in much better nick than ash

Agreed. At Barkway Yomi is going to need a guide. 3rd and 7th holes not easy to find for a first timer.

Recently moved to Elsenham and looking for a decent track. Loved Barkway, hated Golf World, looking forward to playing AV this weekend. Any other recommendations apart from BS as its a tad pricey for my liking.

Challenge accepted. 87. First round ever played there. Barkway is the challenge. Ash valley is a good place to build confidence . Bomb and find , bomb and find, bomb and find. Not that hard.

@@GetonPar my playing partner shot 85 after getting a birdie on the 17th. We both thought that the course needed a bit of work on the greens and that the stand out feature was the par 3s. You can see that as soon as you’re out of London , courses can get longer as land is not as expensive.

@@GetonPar when I play after 3pm, the green fee is just £12.50 ridiculous value for a huge par 74 course where the greens are well maintained and hole after hole challenges the golfer to strike the ball long and accurate. My 12 year old niece shot 87 from the yellow tees on her first ever round there and she’s a 6 hcp at her local course!

It does play more of a links course in the summer for sure
