My opinion is that brendon came so close to winning the PL with LFC that he feels he can do it with the right club, I guarantee he will leave them again as soon as a PL club comes back in for him, I'd even venture a guess and say it might be spurs if things don't work out with their new manager or Villa, maybe even a Brighton Chelsea or Brentford.. you just know if any of them come calling he will leave Scotland again and I feel its because he wants to feel that high you get when you're pushing for something in the PL.

Simon in a sense is right why apologise if you’ve left to further your career. I think the point is, the timing of Rodgers departure upset and hurt a lot of fans and to his credit Rodgers did acknowledge that today and admitted regrets over any hurt caused.

Celtic fan here. Brendan has nothing to apologise for. He was immensely successful in his first stint and headhunted by (at the time) a good PL club. Whilst both Celtic and Rangers are huge clubs in world football, the league they play in isn't a long term deal for quality players and coaches sadly. Thats just a fact, but I'm delighted he's back 🍀

I think he did a good job at Leicester. Barring injuries they would have been top 4 for the majority of the time he was there. FA cup....but not sure what happened this year. Questionable signings and a lack of them. Schmeichel leaving didnt help. And definitely a few players not playing to the levels they were at in previous seasons. Obviously not bothered if the club went down....none of them called out. And of course they will get a move to another decent club.

Tactically Rodgers was inept for 18 months …the players underachieved by a mile after the FA cup. That’s down to Rodgers..it’s pretty simple..paid ..overpaid!..for sending a quality team down.

Martin O'neill is wrong, the leicester team he had which won 2 league cups was nowhere near the best Leicester team. The best one was aside from the 2016 side was the one in the 60's under Matt Gillies when they won the league cup and got to multiple FA cup finals and narrowly missed out on winning the top division (top until 4 games to go) and ended up finishing 3rd. They also finished 2nd pre WW2

Celtic havent progressed from a knockout tie since 2004. One win in a euro leg since then vs Zenit in 2018 still went out. Season before last, 1st club to be eliminated from 3 european competitions in one season. We have single handedly dragged Scotlands coefficient up from the dead in 3 seasons while your humiliated every year. Not bad for a "new club" eh? 😉 so im intrigued..what is progress for you?

Rodgers should never have been brought back to Celtic again after his walking away half way through an important season and Celtic had rangers under Gerrard not so long in his job coming to Celtic park next game ..Gerrard picked rangers up and done fine for them time he was there ..Rodgers walked away as said half way through the season what a time to have left club and left club at that moment in time when we had rangers next game up and also left Celtic without a Manager at that time . Should never have been brought back . Do not like the guy at all and never shall for such . And Rodgers was only good in Scotland only his 1st time in job because rangers then were terrible .. In Europe Rodgers was hopeless and handed Celtic some of worst results we have had in Europe his first time and now 2nd time in worst results again in Europe and dont forget his results with leicester in Europe again were rubbish . He is not good enough a manager and only becaus eof his being irish is why yon Desmond guy got him back in for 2nd time of asking . If left to me is get rid of lot of them irish guys out door not to be trusted . As for Martin Oneill here good manager for Celtic although lets be honest he received more millions to spend than any other Celtic manager at time and i belive Desmond irish and Martin Oneill irish and now Rodgers irish they are in favour of Desmond the main money man at the club . why did Rodgers get asked to come back once sacked as he was at leicester no matter what u try cover up . Because Desmond got one of his irish mates back into a job . Not good enough at all . Celtic board are terrible and i have like thousands of Celtic fans no time for the board at Celtic . Gordon Strachan never received millions them guys had and got Celtic into last 16 in Champions league twice sure on a shoe string of a budget ..If left to me id have Desmond , Rodgers and have them sent back on a flight back to Phudlin and take Celtic and some of their stupid phannies with them and see how they get along there . Im a one time fan from way back when Celtic were a Scottish team and best team they ever have had when Lisbon Lions comquered all with an entire all Scottish team and the best manager Celtic have ever had in Jock Stein .
