Don't worry....You never actually get finished repairing these cars. You basically start from the front, and make your way to the rear. Then you make your way from the back to the front, and so on..... They are absolutely lovely cars, but the gremlins just never stop rearing their heads. Old, crusty jokes aside, you are absolutely right. We can never get too much of this .

Since you are close to the oil filter, do replace the o-ring between the oil filter sandwich and the block. It becomes squarish with time and heat and will not seal with an annoying oil leak as a result. Cheap o-ring and a 100000 miles guarantee. I think it requires an 27mm socket to get it off and some fiddeling with the oil cooler pipes.

When you used the bar to lever the engine over , i remember when Fiat use to say it was engine out for cambelt (£1000 +) but my old Alfa master tech mate said it could be done just by losing off an engine mount and leaning the block over , he worked that one out as soon as the first 20Vs arrived . He was a clever lad

Another cracking video. You have in the garage 2 of my dream cars... A Coupé and a Barchetta Limited Edition. You at least are a specialist in italian cars and you know what you are doing. Many "multi brand mechanics" that touch these cars, end um damaging them, then people say that Fiat is this or that. That is a big issue in Brazil with the Marea Turbo that has this same engine. Because it is expensive at the dealership, people would go to another mechanic and they ended up damaging the engine because of their lack of knowledge. Have a good one. Regards

regarding the slam panel. Given the rarity you may well have to find an expert panel fabricator to make a new one for you but you’d need to be able to get either tech drawings or be able to see another to reference. Do I need to remove the front bumper and radiator in order to replace the olternator in fiat coupe 20 v non turbo?
@jaaps6535
@jaaps6535 4 жыл бұрын
It seems Coupes are generally speaking more rusty in the UK than on mainland Europe. The most rust prone parts: The bracket holding the radiator, the "inverted Eiffel towers" holding the bumpers (front and back), the sills at the wheel arches (due to untreated damages by small stones), from the inside behind the black panels next to the rear seat (water sipping in through the pininfarina badges) and finally behind the black plastic rear wheel arches. One of my two coupes had rust behind the back wheel arches especially, though no structural damage. The other has no rust at all but has always been inside and not near the sea as was the other.
