ELM327 + multiECUscan for your alfa and youre good to go. Cheap as hell, will do the job as much as the one shown in the video.

Yep. But when you don't own an Alfa or a fiat you need something else. I'm afraid to say this isn't one I'd buy.

@@ItaliaAutos ofcourse, also as for a mechanic like you you gotta need something more robust, my sugestion was towards typical car owners (especially fiat group). Neil love your channel btw. , I hope you'll do some work on Alfa 1.8 mpi in the future, my first car ever and fell in love at first sight : P

Absolutely. MECUScan is worth every penny for all the Alfa's I work on. Worth also grabbing a set of colour coded OBD adaptors as well for the different pinouts, or get an ELM with the pinout switch.

If you can get it to work. Tried on 3 different laptops and it wouldn't recognise the USB ports properly on any of them. Ended up getting Alfa OBD which works much better.

@@ArmySigs you just need to set the drivers up properly. Have also used AlfaOBD but it’s not as comprehensive as MECUS.

Even My icarsoft scanner can do the airbag and more on my GTV and that was 45 quid on marketplace
