I fear I have to correct you. Italian language wants articles for almost everything, and you forgot to put a definite article in your sentence. "Gli occhiali mi aiutano a leggere." is the correct translation for "glasses help me read". "Occhiali aiutarmi a leggere" is completely wrong, even if you put the definite article "gli" before "occhiali". You should erase that :/ I hope I've been usefull, cheers :)
