It's fun how some of these tracks belonged to Italian erotic-comedy movies of the 70s's and are now seen as ambient/library music.

@@jonathancorbett7882 Creation is amazing, though Curation shouldn't be ignored. The artist are amazing and deserve props, though I think what this channel excels in is diversifying peoples taste. The purpose of this channel is to celebrate these artist and share not just this music, but music from throughout the world and time. If you can honestly say there's no difference between the selection of mixes provided here, and those on your local radio you either live in a city with a great station, or are ignoring the effort taken to select, source and present the work in such a beautiful way. Doing that while providing the sources as well for people who want to go deeper is awesome though, which is why I love this channel.
@qualljq3 жыл бұрын
Additionally, this channel is free to access. The Patreon support is a tip jar for the aforementioned curation efforts as well as collection for future projects. Look at this like a public access radio show that's run off of donations in lieu of ads interrupting the enjoyment every few songs. Each set is curated and played free of interruption as a whole piece, akin to making an art collage. Challenge yourself to create a set that flows as effortlessly as this one (or any of the others hosted here) before making this type of comment in the future, you'll see the effort thats put into every video.

@@jonathancorbett7882 As someone whose been DJing since highschool and digs in every city I visit, I've never heard of or seen most of these albums, though I get your point. Everyone has their own experiences and I think that again diversifying peoples taste is really great, even if it's a shallow exposure, it's exposure nonetheless. This channel doesn't run copious ads, it's not behind a pay wall, and it credits the original artist while being played on real vinyl, which supports the original artist. I'll make an effort o checkout mixcloud though, sounds like a cool place to find more new stuff to look for next time I hit Amoeba when I'm in LA
