9:10 note that Qf3 and O-O will not get to the same position because after Qf3, black can play exd4. If white would have played O-O first, exd4 wouldn't have been possible because of d3 (discovered attack with the c1 bishop on the queen). Just wanted to point that out for everyone watching. Thanks for a great video and an amazing channel!

Super excellent explanations! I was exposed to this variation via Grooten's Understanding Before Moving, but was not understanding until watching this video!! 😀

Dear Alex, thank you for your coverage of the Italian so far. The main reason why I don't play the two knights defence with black is the following: The most sound reply to Ng5 is the polerio defence, but unfortunately I don't understand black's compensation for the sacrificed pawn. I always have the feeling to play against a healthy extra pawn with a shattered queenside with no immediate attack and no problems for white to fninsh development. Will there be a video on the polerio? That would be great!

Thanks for the video! It's incredibly in depth and very helpful. I am starting to play the Ulvestad a lot because people never know the best move Bf1. I only sort of vaguely looked at the main line, but knowing all these variations is invaluable. Thanks :)))))

13:03 after Bg5+ what do we do in case of Be7? Trade bishops and go Be2 to cover f3?

Also beware of Be2 and if queen takes Bf3 is winning with a double attack.
