I might use Italian sausage. And for this, I’ll definitely use the onion! I was a bit surprised you used white wine instead of red. But, you know what you’re doing and I’ll do it as well! As always, this looks so hearty and delicious.
@Nothing-zw3yd
@Nothing-zw3yd Жыл бұрын
This is almost exactly how I make mine, but I have to omit both the onion and garlic due to allergies, and I add a little fresh basil right before letting it simmer. If I don't have any wine, I'll put a little balsamic vinegar in right after getting the tomato paste heated up and let that cook out, then add the tomatoes. I use it for several things, regular pasta, lasagna, even in place of pizza sauce, or just heating some up and dipping homemade cheese bread into it. Looks amazing!

Just wanted to let you know as others have that your keep it simple with simple ingredients recipes have hit a real niche for us home cooks. I've made several of your dishes and none have failed to get compliments. You cook a lot like I do except you were smart enough not to make the recipes a 10 ingredient lab experiment like I was doing. Now that i've cut back on the complexity, the dishes are coming out with better flavor and certainly better consistency. Keep it up and I will find out how to support the channel.

Ok. My Italian grandma from Naples taught us grand kids to use lots of crushed red pepper for heat, basil and an additional sweet white onion left whole to sweeten and cut the tang of all the tomatoes, and oregano and lots of Parmesan cheese at the end. Cook and stir for 4 hours! (My mother used to call it the “4 hour gravy”!) 😊Mmmmm yum! 😋

I like that you keep the fat in. Too many people are afraid to do so, but it imparts flavor. (Yes, too much is no good) but it’s kind of like pasta e fagioli, I throw the whole can of beans in there, I don’t care, I think it makes it more “fazooli” richness (plus great cheese). Also, I add a little beef stock to my meat sauce. I like the way you cook!

Hey thanks! This meat sauce series is structured to make a bunch of recipes with this sauce. I would store it in the fridge for up to about 5 days. Otherwise, just freeze it in containers and thaw the day you need it - I often do that. I just posted fettuccine alfredo on my website with step by step instructions. It's such an easy recipe that I'm not sure a video is needed. That being said I'll probably make one at some point. Thanks for liking the channel and I appreciate your support!

Great sauce! Can you tell me if cento tomatoes are real San Marzzano? Here in Canada they are labelled DOP. Thanks love your show

Always looks great.....notice you use white wine! Is that a preference over red?

You will end up with slightly different result depending on which you use. Red will provide a deeper flavor than white. Thanks for liking the video.

Cento is 5.99 a can in Arizona. Jan 2024. I do not use wine. I’m wondering if chicken broth could be substituted ?

Awesome. SaF cooks something like me, except he's brilliant and I suck. I've always used Chianti too. Maybe that my problem. I also love pasta so much, I cannot make that much sauce. I'd be dead before I used it.
