This is so similar to how I make bolognese! Except I use TVP soaked in vegetable broth and a bit of marmite instead of the meat for a plant-based version and add a liberal amount of dried Italian herbs in the end, sometimes a bit of fresh basil if I have some. One of my favorite dishes!

Thank you for your version of Bolognese! Whenever I make my Italian sauces I leave the bay leave in. And during dinner I announce that whoever gets the bay leaf has to do the dishes! Ha ha! I rarely enforce it, especially if a guest is the victim. It just a silly thing I like to do. 😁❤❤

Every dish remotely connected to italian cuisine will always attract the people talking smack in the comments. It’s crazy
@supernovaedits146 ай бұрын
So true. As someone with Italian ancestry, Italians just have this really weird superiority complex when it comes to food. If someone doesn’t cook EXACTLY the way they want them to, they throw a hissy fit. It’s almost as if cooking is an art that can be customized, and not everyone has to cook a dish in the traditional Italian way. Who would’ve thought?! 😱
