C'è un libro interessante scritto da Jon Saltinstall in UK che fa una bellissima ricostruzione di questo fantastico pilota che ha attraversato un periodo eroico dell'automobilismo sportivo. I had to watch this again. The sheet metal and rivets got me the first time. The mechanicals are exquisite too. The traditional gauges, gated shifter, huge cast aluminum uprights on the suspension, and my favorite, the crazy snake like headers are all things I love about Ferrari race cars of that era.

Yes, you are right, the more you look at it, the more you discover that it's a true work of art on wheels. Other times, other cars, when even the formula cars were beautiful to look at. Too bad, it was a good time for motorsport

I have always wanted to build a monocoque sheetmetal riveted together car. I am an aircraft mechanic. Imagine making that noise on track when almost everything else was Cosworth DFV sounds!

In 1971 you had Matra V12, BRM V12, ALFA V8, Pratt & Whitney turbine as well as Ferrari flat 12, and Cosworth DFV8.

Das waren noch Autos und ein Klang zum verlieben. Und so etwas wie der Tyrrell P34 aus 1976, unvergessliche Autos, heute ist doch fast nur noch die Farbe unterschiedlich und Kleinigkeiten die man nur beim genauen Anschauen erkennt.

Sie haben absolut Recht, es waren andere Zeiten, die Autos waren aufregend, die Formel-1-Umgebung war großartig, heute ist alles zu raffiniert und zu weit von normalen Menschen entfernt.
