Italki Instant Lessons. Are they a game changer?

For me as a Spanish teacher it's excellent. I am quite hidden below bunchs of new teachers. Instant lessons allow me to go back to the surface, be seen again and get new students. They have saved me during these days and give me hope.

I did not realize that they had instant lessons again. I LOVED those before. That was how I did the majority of my lessons, because I did not want to schedule so far in advance. Instant lessons were something that I would return to multiple times. When you have different schedules and literally multiple time zones, it works out well. Yes, instant lessons were what made italki very unique. You could try out a teacher with greater ease. The trial lessons are insufficient. Yes, you could choose through them. That is all correct before. They said that the platform could not support instant booking 24/7. Before you could turn it on. Yes, they have it for Spanish, but it is hard to get to. I had used it for Chinese as well. Also, the names and list would consistently change. I really miss it, and I am not the only one. I have not used italki since then.

Well, the reason you can't see which teachers are online is because you have already spent your three trial lessons. One of my friends recently created a profile and hasn't spent two of her three trial lessons, therefore she can see who is available for instant lessons. On the other hand, I totally agree with you, this is not as good as it used to be in the past and I still don't get why this new model would be more profitable for them. Maybe they're just trying new things to see what's best for the platform. Who knows!

Pus hoje essa lição instantâneo. Fiquei a manhã toda e não recebi nenhuma notificação. Deu meio dia e meio desliguei a função e me desconectei para almoçar. Depois olhei meu e mail duas horas depois aí vi que alguém tinha comprado a aula e já tinha passado do horário a muito tempo e enquanto estava no computador não recebi nenhum aviso. Só uma mensagem da própria aluna enquanto estava desconectada e um e mail duas horas depois.e ainda levei um aviso, estou inconformada com isso, pq estava disponível e não recebi um aviso que desse para responder em 5 minutos. 😑

As a French teacher, I won't use it. Also, I'm going to try others platform cause italki is changing. Edit: I just checked, there is an "instant lesson" button now.

Instant lessons are also for men who like to inappropriately touch themselves on camera. I hate the feature if its going to be low cost or free.

This is something that I worry about a lot. I haven't made a video in a while, but I think that this is an issue that needs to be addressed. It's pretty pathetic!
