Bad showing from the staff, they should be the ones to make a customer feel at ease, considering it's like the most important event for wines in italy! Sorry from an italian fan
@lowkeyconvert8971 Жыл бұрын
asian countries including south korea would be such big and growing markets for italian wines but also just on the level of basic human decency, a bare minimum level of behaviour should be expected. it's ironic, because i think people from asian countries would see italy and other european countries as being elegant and cultured based on on some of the western media they've seen and yet when they go there, their experience can be very bad. what a shame. talk about smashing ideas/illusions of grandeur. perhaps things like this being exposed to the world will gradually give them some self-awareness and put certain aspects of italy in order.
@Elektero Жыл бұрын
@@lowkeyconvert8971 have you seen the same video? he was treated wonderfully by everybody, the only issue is that he was not allow to break law regarding bottles outside the event. Which bare minimum of decency was not respected? you are delusional
@lowkeyconvert8971 Жыл бұрын
@@Elektero please be realistic. i am not purely talking about wineking's experience. because you are correct in that he overall had a pretty good experience. but my god, the number of anecdotal stories i have heard and video footage i have seen from asian people, african-americans, africans from africa, indian, arab, etc. etc...basically, anyone who does not have a caucasian appearance and the severity of what they were saying really gave a bad impression. and there were italian people in the comments section (for example youtube or tik tok) agreeing and admitting to these things and apologising on their people's behalf. one need only see how certain international football players and coaches are treated by local 'fans' when they're on the soccer field in italy as well to see how everything corroborates. i want to be clear that this is not every single italian person - same as every other country, you have got good and bad apples - but it seems pretty normalised behaviour as a whole in italy so is problematic.
@Elektero Жыл бұрын
@@lowkeyconvert8971 anecdotes are not evidence. If you claim there is an higher number of racists in Italy with respect to other countries you should bring data. Otherwise you seems to have some kind of crusade against italians, for reason I deduce are of racist nature. As the guy in the video. He even has a video where he mocks Italian accent all through it. This is real evidence as how this guy is biased towards Italians and in general looking to be the victim. He is not.
@lowkeyconvert8971 Жыл бұрын
@@Elektero if you had read carefully instead of cherry-picking what you want to read, i had also noted "video footage", so that is actual evidence. i'm afraid that you cannot fix that which you refuse to acknowledge. it's not a matter of comparing yourself to other countries, which frankly, i have heard that spain and italy are the worst in europe for this kind of thing. it's more a matter of trying to find ways to improve one's own country. just because someone mocks an italian accent, doesn't mean it justifies mocking another ethnic group.

About the olive oil quality, the info it's not right at all. The process of the oil making and the olives wich the oil is made from are by far the most important things to take into consideration. I use olive oil daily, a lot, and never took into account - nobody does - the expiration date. 1st you must make sure it's "extra virgin olive oil". If it's not extra virgin, it's directly trash (obviously still a hundred times better than seed oils that are straight poison, but trashy olive oil). And if it is extra virgin olive oil, you gotta make sure who produces and HOW it is produced. It must be cold-press, and not PH-rectified. The easiest way is to buy known local producers or know quality brands from Spain or - more expensive for the same quality - italy
@skandargraun99477 ай бұрын
All that is so true. Even the extra virgin olive oils' quality varies a lot. You can also tell the difference just by looking at it. The good ones are super smooth and have much sediment at the bottom. Luckily Il Casolare is available where I live, and it stands out from the commercial extra virgin olive oils.
