■ ITALY, FLORENCE: Florence is famous for her beef but the Florentines also love a good pork chop. So do I! So come along as I wander the streets of Tuscany's capital in search of Italy's finest pork sandwich.

@LION OF NORTH In all my travels, I’ve spent maybe 3-4 months combined in Spain and Italy and never had a problem. I speak Spanish so I can get info from locals. One of the cabdrivers in Madrid commented to me that their police were very honest, and we actually had a little driving mishap in Burgos, and as a retired police officer myself, I found them very nice and professional. Once in Madrid I overhead a Spanish man at our hotel describing how he had been pickpocketed. It’s like any other big city in that you must be careful in crowds, especially if you’re watching the local talent. I always try to talk my husband into putting a decoy wallet in his back pocket, while keeping money in his front pocket, but he won’t do it. I’ve never felt ill at ease in any of the numerous places I’ve visited in both those countries. Many of the cities seem a lot safer than in the US.

I would assume the people that seemed rude probably just didn't know much english - it's very common for shop owners to be quite fluent since they're constantly in contact with tourists, less so for others. Generally Italians are super chatty, assuming they can understand you

I remember spotting that 5711 too when i first saw the video, but it’s either a fake one or an “homage” watch. You can tell it’s not a genuine Nautilus by the bezel/case proportions and in the genuine Nautilus the side parts of the case are slightly smaller/shorter than that and also the dial on the one he’s wearing is a bit too squared, while the genuine is a bit rounder. Plus, nobody just casually wears a 5711 while chopping pork.

That Porchetta looked great and also the price, including the wine, was honest. Edit: wow he even gave you back the money.

Hi Harold, fantastic to see you again finally, your right Italy is beautiful and underrated. Also the in Sicily everyone tends to only go to Palermo, but I traveled to a beautiful little medieval town called Licata which is down south of Sicily. It has beautiful beaches and port areas, old historical places of interest and the best of all fantastical delicious food! It’s located south as I said but it’s a province Of Agrigento which is where the valley of Temples is located with its Greek temple ruins. Also close to there is the famous Scala de Turki beach, translated is The Turkis Ladder, which is all white!!
@Jljujubeats5 жыл бұрын
Don't want to sound rude, but Licata is not that special compared to other cities in Sicily... A much better alternative would be Cefalù in the north, or Enna in the middle. Enna is the highest located town in Italy and its castle is the highest in Europe. Also the food is arguably amazing. Also Catania and Noto are really nice, and don't forget (the somewhat touristy) Taormina.
@paulmerda15 жыл бұрын
Jove's Child, how do you know? Have you ever been there in Licata? You know it’s not about touristic towns but to explore towns that aren’t on the tourist map. Don’t you think it’s nice to give a chance to other towns besides always tourist traps? It’s only my suggestion as I’ve been there in Licata and fell in love with it, I fact I’m planing to go back in May next year!

@@psc93krp Trying to make that point a few times now :). Lorraine for instance has wonderful People and Food. You also get a very nice mix of two distinct kitchens. Bretagne also, Normandie etc. Lot of nice things to see in France.

I can't blame the guy. He's an alright vlogger and all but his political views are heavily right, Tucker carlson/Donald Trump pot stirrer etc. France opposes his views and he doesn't like that.

Hi Harald, thanks for your nice words about my country. Have a nice stay and don't get fat. 💛 And please, go and stay at least one week in Naples if you can. That's the most underestimate city in Italy.

funnily enough I'll be going to Napoli at the end of September, beginning of October. Can't wait, after Torino and Roma it will be my third trip to Bella Italia!

I live in Turin but I have to admit that Naples is breathtaking. It's an intriguing city with many problems, and need a quite long stay to be understood. Naples is many cities all in one. Try if you can, to visit all the districts with a local guide, because there are so many secrets that you could not discover by yourself.

@@borderlord I know my friend, but work commitments are prioritised right now.... I went to Turin in November and still had a blast, I'm sure Napoli will be fine too. I walk around a ton so maybe a bit cooler weather will be a blessing.
