I watched a program on the BBC network today and they mentioned an issue with laws on properties in Italy. Basically they said that the property could be reclaimed by a descendant of the original owner up to six generations. They say on must research and do their due diligence and determine if there could possibly be any claimant on the property one may purchase. What exactly would be considered due diligence? Would the current owner have to disavow and relinquish claim on the property as well as any living children, grandchildren? Is this mentioned in the offers by the Italian government which are selling abandoned properties? Something worth looking into. Still I find many of these properties tempting. You live in a wonderful town and Bravo for presenting it to everyone!

As far as I'm concerned, it's perfect. I work with the elderly & my sister is a beautician, so we'd have jobs :) Plus, i laughed at the cold weather temperatures. Our cold season in Wyoming USA lasts 8-9 months! With sometime -20 or -30 degrees not including the wind chill factor, which can bring it down to feeling like -50 on occasion. So, in the coldest there I'd be wearing long-sleeved shirt & pants without a coat. 😀

I had a dream I was living in Italy having lunch outside and it started to snow. I then looked on a map and I was about 3 hours south of Zurich, Switzerland. When i woke up I went to look at a real map to see what towns are there, I think I will move there soon because of my dream. I'm just worried about the economy, I hear all mixed things.

Beautiful, peaceful little town with pretty much everything you need. Iam amazed how clean the streets are. Beautiful views all around. so happy for you guys ❤ I love Australia but if I could, I would move to Italy in blink of an eye.The lifestyle is so different and less stressful. Very interesting, thank you. Two observations : 1) Italian village shops are very unobtrusive. You could almost miss them, no blaring, loud signs. 2) It seems to be a feature of most Italian towns and villages that the pavements and pedestrianised roads are made of quite elaborate stone sets or cobbles. No plain concrete slabs to be seen.

Hi Jeff. Almost no humidity. In Summer it's pretty fresh with the breeze and holiday makers usually come and stay up here to avoid the humidity of the sea side towns
