Maro Itoje is more of a natural leader than Genge, both by example and what he says. It’s what you say that’s most important, not just how much you say.
@alanb94432 жыл бұрын
?? Where u getting that from. Eddie jones in his book has said maro is not a natural leader. Great player just not necessarily captain

Ben young’s seems to get stick online for being “too slow” during the game. But you can’t deny his invaluable experience and dedication to help the team

People won't stop calling for him and Farrell to be dropped but I think what they do off the pitch is so important. They're passing on an entire careers-worth of experience to the younger players!
@rufusmatthews62442 жыл бұрын
I agree but I’d rather see him as a coach, I think Eddie Jones wants to talk about a New England it does have to be NEW, nothing against Youngs I think he is world class but idk if he still will be by 2023

Why, because there's some emotional music in the background? He doesn't play nearly as well as he speaks and that's the problem. He shouldn't be anywhere near the squad anymore, based on his playing ability.
@adambrace51272 жыл бұрын
yeah he's a great character and player but Marcus needs quick ball or there's not as much point having him. with quick ball he can tear teams up. the ball he gets off care makes him lethal.

This series is such a blessing. Shows why these players are in the squad. Including players that get a lot of flack to move over and retire, like Youngs. This video shows why he's still in the squad.

These are wonderful series and snap shots into the England Rugby team, we are very lucky to have them. Love hearing the exchanges between players such as Genge and Randall, the little word about speaking up. That will have a huge effect on a young player

Another great episode. Whilst a lot of fans don’t want Youngs to start (myself included) I think it’s important that we remember how much he’s given to England both on and off the pitch. A true hero in my eyes

His time has come to step aside and I don’t think we can afford to let him start games anymore. He is useful for leadership and shaping Young 9s and he has had a great career but you can see how slow he is compared to other scrum half’s now. He’s gotta go unfortunately.
@bodhid2 жыл бұрын
@@grahamvincent2133 I disagree with your summation. Yes, we need to start playing the younger scrummies and they should be starting ahead of Youngs if form/fitness/opposition warrants it, but he is still an elite player witj bags of experience you want int he squad.

All the shit people give Ben Youngs about not being good enough, they need but only watch this and it's obvious why he's there. His experience is crucial!
@harrypurves40552 жыл бұрын
Watching this series is amazing- as a supporter, it helps take the stress away by knowing exactly how much hard work has gone into preparation, and the mindset and professionalism of the players as they take on the challenge ahead of them each week. Changed my stance on Ben Youngs, who I see now as prepping the next generation, and who im sure will step down at the right time, rather than clinging on to a position in order to reach the next milestone. 🌹

Agree about Youngs - clearly a real team player and a good person - just wish he would reduce the kicking, speed up the passing, and start sniping around the fringes again.
@jordan30252 жыл бұрын
Controversial opinion: I think Ben youngs can play at pace as he has shown in various games, I just think maybe he’s told to do something different in his own game plan, I may be wrong but I really do think he’s got it in him.

Everything about this England side looks great except 1. Eddie Jones - bullshitter and 2. The brilliant Tom Curry a world class player but not a captain. That’s Eddie’s bad judgement - again. Genge looks way more comfortable.

You’re right…Eddie Jones talks a lot of shit. New England? No Eddie it’s still England playing a different style with different players, win the games mate first. Also, Genge is too immature to be a leader and his discipline on the field is too poor to have him as captain
