Great story you told around Laconia, Itchy! I think many want to do it once since it’s the oldest rally in the Country; to say I’ve been to Laconia. But I’m like you, not crazy about cramped saloons, so loud you can’t hear yourself talk. But I love checking out the vendors, love all the friendly banter with our community, find good places to eat, and really love the riding. I just heard about the Ohio Bike Week, can’t make it this year but maybe next. I heard from a vendor at Panama City Beach (on KZbin, I didn’t make it to PCB this year), but he said he heard a rumor this might be the last year at Sandusky and next year moving it to Toledo. You hear anything about that? Hey listen ride safe, hopefully get some vlogging for us at Ohio Bike Week, anxious to see the coverage! I sure enjoy your channel, new subscriber.

It is Sunday here in Tennessee and I rode to church this morning! So nice and then I went on a long ride after. This is it for Tennessee we are officially in Spring. Some rain this week but the temps are up. Going bike camping Friday if the weather holds. 70's all week. Yeeha! Sorry about Vee not being able to go with you. Teresa won't go with me on the bike anyway so I am alone a lot. I would serve the Lord there but not not interested in the saloons either. My brothers in Christ bailed you out. That's what we do. Lived in Maine for 35 years ,Been to Laconia many times lived 45 minutes away. It's a day rally you go up get your pin walk a bit then do the Winni loop around the pond and call it a day. Not like it used to be years ago, people would let ya camp in there front yard for like 5 bucks and you'd party all night and stay for days. It's a family picnic day now lol.

Just got back this Sunday from Arizona Bike Week down in Scottsdale. Five of us rode out from Albuquerque. I am not a rally dude, and skipped most of it, but really went to see Lynard Skynard who put on a fabulous show for 20k peeps Saturday night.

Ohio bike week is definitely a good time. We usually skip mad river and just hit the block party. A lot to see good music and food and cool bikes for sure. I recommend it since you've never been compared to sturgis its nothing crazy but still a fun experience.

It's so funny you said this about Laconia. I was thinking the same thing . I was there twice. The last time was in the late 90's . and we did the same thing. Just rode around. Basically it sucked. But the scenery was beautiful. Me and my wife stayed at a B&B Though. I wouldn't go there again either. But some day, I would like to go to Sturgis. Thanks for sharing the video. Enjoyed.

I've been to OBW every year they have had it. Good rally, especially when Roeders was there. Maybe I'll run into ya the last weekend. First weekend I'll be at the annual memorial service in Hopedale Ohio for the Motorcycle Memorial Foundation service at the riders wall and name bricks dedication

Hey there buddy, hope your both well and as always prayers for V, the rally’s, at one time to me they had there place in my biker world but outgrew the crowds long time ago, now it’s just bike trips me and my amigo, July will be here before we know it and god willing health and the genius of Canada decides to keep his border open after three years will finally make Newfoundland so that’s our story and for now day by day will get there, take care friend and as always, Hang in there.

If you EVER want the Tour of Laconia, lets get together in 2023. That will be Laconia 100th. I will make sure you (and if Vee is up to it) have a place to rest your head! I am 35 min from the Weirs. There is a LOT to do and if your not familiar with it, you can miss a LOT! Races at the track.. Vendors on the Boulevard.. PM me... Ill be up at Americade the week before and then Laconia this year. Hi always fun in Ohio when we have Thunder and Graupal and Lightning all before spring should be here instead, Bike week is worth going to for me every few yrs, you nailed it best, I liked going to Erie thunder on the shore a few times, heck I would be happy to ride with you to bike week that weekend, I have a couple coming from out of town going to be riding up there with us n staying here too, i gotta be 5 to 10 minutes from u maybe closer, lets see what happens when time gets closer

OBW has been a fun rally and a great time up until the last few years before covid. It has gotten smaller even before covid. I hope things pick up and get back to pre-2015 times. There was talks about cancelling it around 2018 but local business wanted to keep it because of the money it brings their businesses

Old timers use to say, before winter is over you get a PEA snow and an ONION snow, that was our pea snow Friday. Had a trip like that to Carslisle pa, camped out in back parking lot, security ran me off. have wait see vacation time for may.

I haut ve to disagree with you abot Laconia. There are plenty of vendors. They are at the Dealership and in a big lot next to it. There are vendors alon the road to Weirs Beach from the dealership and at the Laconia Race Track as well as others along various roads. I go just about every year and find plenty to do. The riding is great going into the White mountains and a visit to Mt. Washington is great.

I went down to Daytona Bike Week this year, Rented an Airbnb and went with my son,brother and 2 friends, Honestly Itch I was not that Impressed. I think it was a record for fatalities and it may have had something to do with people being locked down for 2 years but people were out of control on their bikes. I think I'll stick to the local rally's for the time being. Oh one more thing Destination Daytona was excellent, ran into a few KZbinrs I follow that work the Rallies and ate lots of food. But the Nuts on Atlantic were a bit much.
