When I was little my parents definitely did the Santa thing, but my mom also made a birthday cake for Christ to drive home the true meaning of the day.

Jesus is the greatest gift of all. After my dad passed away about six yrs ago my mom and my two brother's and I went through his belongings just in case he decided to hide some money. He wasn't the type of person to do that and we never did find anything but...Mom did find some life insurance papers. We didn't know it but he took out three life insurance policies for his boys. It was a pretty nice pay out. Thank you dad for all you did for your family and teaching us good values in life.

Mark check with the state she lived in when the check was issued for unclaimed property. Indiana holds unclaimed funds for 25 years before it’s turned over to the state. Never know…..

Thanks, Itchy! I appreciate your videos. We use the holidays as opportunities to teach our children generosity. We try to deflect away from the "funny business" and fiction. Jesus is the reason for Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. That is our faith, and that is what we adhere to. Thank you for explaining how the decals are supposed to work. I never knew that strategy. I've started so many models in my lifetime and have probably never finished any of them. It's neat to learn something new! There are a few documentaries on You Tube about the history of Christmas which are pretty good. Santa has 8 tiny reindeer pulling his sleigh as established by the short story A Visit By Saint Nick which was distributed by a department store in London in the 1890s. Rudolph was introduced in a record sung by Audie Murphy in the 1950s. My son asked me if there was a Santa Clause when he was about 6 and I explained that Santa is the spirit of giving which is in all of us. Since then the present from Santa to me is from my wife and Nathan and so on. Have a merry Christmas with you family, Mark, and thank you from the interesting vlogs over the years.

😂 Excellent I can relate to all that,even the dust in the house,I wouldn’t be with out a stove,nothing heats like a wood stove! My parents were truly the greatest as well when it came to Christmas because there’s no place on earth that I would rather be than under the tree at my house on Christmas morning ! I think it’s nice to be a child and believe, as adults the magic diminishes, but yes I knew it was my parents drinking the ginger ale, eating the cookies and finally tucking into the carrots 🥕 🥴🤣 left for the reindeers - LUCKY them 😂. Ya a little crazy, spend your hard earned money on presents and then give Santa the credit. But we did it anyway and no kids were permanently scarred from the big lies. They are flourishing. When I figured it out I realized it wasn't Santa that couldn't afford fancy toys.

And dont forget the tooth fairy, but I can tell you for sure that me growing up after the War in Berlin when X mass came around, and evrything was impossible to get, my parents went all out, My onkel dressed in a fur coat put on some old fur hat, rode in on my new used bicycle, we had some scrawny xmas tree with real candles dressed in tin foil and my father and oncel would shoot out the burning candles with my new toy gun that shot rubber tipped arrows, and mom going nuts because of there might be a fire, who knows maybe Santa Klaus beard got caught on the candles and legend has it he came down the fireplace, because real candles on a x mass tree? Hate to say it Mark but your video was truly a bummer! Believing in Santa Claus, as a young child was a great thing from what I remember even when I figured out it wasn’t true. It’s not about the amount of gifts or even if you get a gift it’s about seeing someone’s face light up when they get something. Eventually, children learn that and want to give instead of get. I would rather them believe in Santa Claus as a child, then to ruin the innocence. I just hope no one that watches your videos has a grandchild that likes watching them with their grandfather. if they watched this one, they are sadly disappointed. @itchymoche so you did not answer any of the questions I ask and they're very specific questions but it doesn't really matter if you claim there's a God the burden of proof is on you reality works just like a court you have to have and present evidence for your claim , a prosecutor has present the evidence to prove their case not the other way around The defendant does not have to prove his innocence, can you answer the questions I ask you earlier ? The Bible is a made up book with made up characters no different than Harry Potter but you can at least meet the actor that played Harry Potter God doesn't like to show himself like that, I find that very telling don't you? I believe that the Holy Bible is truth. It cannot and has not been disproved. In fact there is solid evidence that can prove biblical history. God is a spiritual being incomparable to human and in holding a relationship with him daily, his power is felt and very much confirmed in my life.
