So, Janet was not in the best state of mind when she got drunk and assumed that Alex proposed to her. Potentially having already felt lost and would have latched onto whatever form of kindness she's been shown as someone wanting to be with her. Of course, that did lead to her becoming delusional and unable to face reality till she had unknowingly broken up someone else's marriage. Now then, her actions are inexcusable and horrid. But at least things end on a somewhat good note. Since she did get Therapy, make sure to talk with Derek's wife and go to have a fresh start somewhere else. After all, she did what was right for her mental health and allowed herself and Derek's wife to understand each other so that peace can be made. Now then, to anyone who believes that the antagonists shouldn't be redeemed and get what they deserved. Well some people deserves a second chance if they're able to use it to better themselves. Now if Janet truly deserved that chance...? I'm unsure. But she was quite delusional and not in the right state of mind before bettering herself.
@WriterGirl90 Жыл бұрын
I agree about people deserving a second chance, it’s when they demand a third or even fourth or fifth chance that I start to question them
@larrainehowell5679 Жыл бұрын
@SilkandStones It doesn't matter that she was blackout drunk, allowing yourself to get into such a state does not excuse your actions in any way, yeah she was that drunk but she allowed that to happen, no one forced her into that state therefore she is responsible. Claiming it's not your fault just because you were blathered may be an extenuating circumstance but never an excuse! Many people do things whilst drunk, they even commit crimes, as above that may be an extenuating circumstance but no judge is going to take that as an excuse in law because it isn't, it's called free will, that is why she is just as guilty, she never saw Alex again but continued to slander his actual fiancé at work, she wasn't drunk then so totally unacceptable and she could have been sued for that, even went to see his parents who told her the reality yet still she continued with the delusion instead of investigating the truth. She was to blame as was Kevin, she said she had photos so how could she not see that he wasn't Alex? She needs therapy and AA by the sound of it.
@tamakunminnip21177 ай бұрын
@larrainehowell5679 no. Janet was not responsible for anything that happened the night she was blacked out drunk, and thought he was someone else, so what Derek did to her is considered a rape by law because she couldn't consent. She is responsible for everything else that happened after that. While she was kind of delusional, she does carry some responsibility.
@Ronin.Samurai5 ай бұрын
@@tamakunminnip2117no, she is definitely responsible for her actions. She let herself get drunk, she made stupid choices while drunk. Derek is just as responsible for his actions. Her getting drunk does not excuse her actions.
