Great reacion as always :) Autotune is used when Till sings about the poison that is flowing through his veins. I think this is the perfect use of this tool. Not to retouch the imperfection of the voice but to enhance the listening experience.

Giftig doesn't mean toxic, it means poisonous. In Germany many people use these words synonym, but they aren't. Rammstein does know that and play with the language quite well. This song is very deep in its meaning. Does he sing about toxic women or toxic (poisonous, venomous) animals, like snakes? Nobody knows. There are also sayings in Germany, like "du falsche Schlange" (you wrong snake - meaning: insidious and treacherous human, often women) and "Du drehst mir die Worte im Mund herum" (You are turning the words in my mouth around - meaning: you misinterpret and misunderstand intentionally my words. ->This is why a verse is said backwards) This song is just hilarious. 👍

This deserved a music video more than Dicke Titten. Somebody actually put a surprising amount of effort into both covering Giftig and making one. I think a music video would include a snake, and Till breaking out of it during the Reverse (though back in "it" later). I think the toxicity is a person --- and the song does also includes "beautiful" or whatever, so.....

Probably one of my favorite song on the record. And in the countermove of the 3 previoussongs, the tempo is neatly tightened, what drums and guitar concern. represents a music-written description of a toxic relationship. Like rattlesnakes sound the tactful hissing synths, threatening the booming guitars. The chorus captivates with a vocal synth call-and-response game. Overall, the track exudes an Arabic-inspired vibe that reminds me on the one hand very much of Richard Kruspe's solo project Emigrate, but on the other hand through the back vocals at the beginning also of the track "Destroy" from the 2005 record "Rosenrot". 4:46 On the subject of the sentence that was spoken backwards (Can't move!): I interpret it that the poison now works and paralyzes his vocal cords, muscles.😅

I love this song as well. Many people are bitching that they lost their stile, i heavily disagree. Rammstein have been experimenting with styles since, like, forever, and even if i don't like certain songs or maybe albums, there are allways some bangers and their lyrical stile is allways great. With this song, i would not dig to deep. For me this song is about an unhealthy, "toxic" relationship and the exitement that comes with it. If you really wanna dig a bit deeper, i think the best concept you could aplly here is the "death drive" as conceptualised by psychologist Carl Jung :) Best greeting from germany! PS: Also, in everyday german there is no destinction between poisonous and toxic, so you were spot on in the beginning ;)

Poisonous is actually the correct translation of "Giftig". Toxic would be "Toxisch".

Philosophy? Me, I like absurdism. Check out Albert Camus. Also, Carl Jung. He talks about integrating the shadow which works well with Rammstein. For spiritual stuff, try The Perennial Philosophy by Aldous Huxley.

That is a tough one, for a second i thought it is about the fear of each other during the 'pandemic'. But there is a lot of inuendo to sex and power. I feel like this is about love that strucks after a one night stand, so it just took one night to change his world, because now he is infected, adicted.

Autotune when he singed about "I like it", mean he is lying about it. Also song uses a lot of "Dies Irae" motiff, poem describing the Last Judgment, the trumpet summoning souls before the throne of God, where the saved will be delivered and the unsaved cast into eternal flames. I think it is judgement of this man, he fully embraces in this toxic relationship or will he release himself?

One reason why the part at 4:46 might be reversed is due to the fact that he says "regen" (to move) which if reversed sounds like the N-Word. I think thats just typical for Till to do, just trying to provoke others.
