Hey, Mongo, instead of plain grease caps, get a set of Bearing Buddies. Bit more expensive, but they have the zirc fitting on the outside. Put the boat in the water, take it out, slap on the grease gun, give it a few squirts, and push out ANY water that might have made it in. As always, great job.

Mongo thank you! That was the plan but couldn't get bearing buddies in this hub size. This axle very old and have a very odd size for the caps.
