It's not a direct synergy, moreso that when you take a 4th energy you're often doing because your deck often relies on playing a limited hand of okay cards rather than an intensely synergistic combo, and getting extra value out of those limited cards makes the energy that much better.

Someone mentioned the 2600 card Yu-Gi-Oh deck from 2006, the best part about it was the person who brought it to the tournament was a high level judge who did it to illustrate why there needed to be action taken on this. The deck was impossible to shuffle and played cards that searched the deck and shuftled. The point was made and a 60 card max was brought to reality.

Magic does a funny thing where there is no official decksize limit, the deck just has to be small *enough* that you can shuffle it without assistance. Obviously, this doesn't work online, so they did add a limit there (it's 250).

@tudornaconecinii3609 unassisted is the key word, you can theoretically call a judge to have them shuffle for you if you have grip issues or something similar but it has to be able to be theoretically shuffled by a single able-bodied person in a reasonable time.

Always a blast when Astro makes Jorbs play with cards he'd never otherwise picks (an Act 2 with two Masterful Stabs from a while back comes to mind), because it shows how a skilled player can roll with the punches and make the likes of Choke and Setup shine.

Your comment seems to convey that Setup is a bad card. I personally enjoy picking up an upgraded Setup as an energy solution in case I have a lot of, especially free draw (Escape Plan, Adrenaline, Prepared) but lack in energy
