I can see how non-gamers dont understand our love and compassion for video games, they act the same exact way when people read books for fun, they never gave it a try, a real try, and they themselves were not transformed and teleported into a different world as a wholly different person. Games are Worlds. just like books, and just like movies. Personally, to me, nothing is better than grabbing a cup of milk and oreos, turning off the lights, listening to the pitter-pattern of rain, and playing my video game. i am John 117 i am Arthur Morgan i am John Marston i am Samus Aran i am Leon Kennedy i am Sam Fisher i am Geralt of Rivia i am everyone of them and many more, i felt their memories, and pain and sorrow and happiness and loss and victory. So, no, its not JUST, a videogame.

This might be never seen by the masses and only the few, but remember that WE the players have experienced a hundred lifetimes. From fighting historical and not yet to happen battles in Call of Duty, to building monument after monument in Minecraft, to surviving and dying over and over again in the countless survival games, to taking the challenge of games to better yourself like Dark Souls to other hard challenging platformers, To exploring a world that can take your breath away over and over again like in any Zelda game, or the arcade feeling slashers like God of war where you slayed gods, to simple games where you can watched others live out lives like The Sims, this list really can go on and on, but remember, no matter what anyone says WE are gamers, and we have a plethora of skills we have gained from hours of spending time in front of a screen, to the excessive amount of stories we've endured. In my words I wouldn't have taken a moment away from my child hood of growing up with Halo, most of the Assassin's Creed timeline to countless hours on CoD and Battlefield, to building and having fun in Minecraft with friends... remember "It's just a game" for some but for me, its my story. "You get a thousand things everyday pal make sure this is one of them" - Micheal De Santa (or Townley) (Grand theft auto V) "To say Nothing is true, is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our own civilization. To say everything is permitted, is to understand that we are the architects of our own actions and that we must live with our actions, whether glorious or tragic" - Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Assassin's Creed Brotherhood) "Uphold the principles of our Order, and all for that for which we stand. Never share our secrets nor divulge the true nature of our work. Do so until death - whatever the cost. This is my new creed. I am Shay Patrick Cormac. Templar of the Colonial... of the American Rite. I am an older man now, and perhaps wiser. A war and a revolution have ended, and another is about to begin. May the Father of Understanding guide us all" - Shay Patrick Cormac (assassin's Creed Rogue) "War is when the young and stupid are tricked by the old and bitter into killing each other" - Niko bellic (Grand theft auto IV) "The Creed of the Assassin Brotherhood teaches us that nothing is forbidden to us. Once, I thought that meant we were free to do as we would. To pursue our ideals, no matter the cost. I understand now. Not a grant of permission. The Creed is a warning. Ideals too easily give way to dogma. Dogma becomes fanaticism. No higher power sits in judgement of us. No supreme being watches to punish us for our sins. In the end, only we ourselves can guard against our obsessions. Only we can decide whether the road we walk carries too high a toll. We believe ourselves redeemers, avengers, saviours. We make war on those who oppose us, and they in turn make war on us. We dream of leaving our stamp upon the world... even as we give our lives in a conflict that will be recorded in no history book. All that we do, all that we are, begins and ends with ourselves" - Arno Dorian (Assassin's Creed Unity) "When I'm gone, everyone gonna remember my name... Big Smoke!" - Big smoke (Grand theft auto san Andreas) "Even the good leaders make poor decisions its the best leader that take responsibility for them" - Kratos (ghost of Sparta) - (God of war 2018) "I'm not a disgrace, I'm vengeance, I'm the night, I'm batman!" - Bruce Wayne aka batman (batman arkham knight) "Five years ago, I lost 30,000 men in the blink of an eye... and the world just fuckin' watched" - general shepherd (call of duty : modern warfare 2) "it's better to have faith in something than none at all" - Connor Kenway (Assassin's Creed : III) "Face me to west so I can see the setting sun and remember all the good times we had" - Arthur Morgan (Red dead redemption 2) If there are more quotes from other characters feel free to tell me and I will add him/her, tell me the quote to write it

@@roamingknight4815 its crazy how things that are just "games" have more of a impact on our lives and emotions then most tv shows or movies maybe from walking in they're shoes or just seeing how it all breaks down but games are art in my eyes each one with a different lession or ideal that deserves to at least be thought about and at most be words to better us for the future

@@roamingknight4815 when i saw the fear in Arthur morgans eyes when he was talking to sister mary about death and love i felt crushed i know that fear or when master chief had to say goodbye to cortana i cried joel losing his daughter just to find a new one and to give up everything to keep her safe crushed me cause i felt the same way after some point the game left and the story and existential questions became so emotional i hope to share these games and story's with my future love and children

Video games are the greatest form of storytelling by FAR. It makes me sad that not everyone understands that. If only more people could pick up a controller and emerge themselves in to these undiscovered worlds, they too, would see what makes video games so powerful.
