John Fogerty has one of the greatest voices in rock and roll history. He started out as a drummer, having to raise his voice over the drum set. He developed into a powerful singer and also a great guitar player. He's also a very nice and likable person.

John Fogerty's signature voice is one of the most distinctive sounds in rock-n-roll history. His songwriting skills are just as important for driving the unique songs of both Credence Clearwater Revival and his own solo career. We still haven't heard you react to him with CCR in two classic numbers, LOOKING OUT MY BACKDOOR and RUN THROUGH THE JUNGLE. And there is a video of a performance with the Fairfield Five gospel group from his album Blue Moon Swamp that deserves your attention. The song is ONE HUNDRED AND TEN IN THE SHADE. It literally paints a picture of old southern summer heat and musical thirst of hard it was to work in the fields. It made that ice cold lemonade worth the wait. Amber might remember those long gone days from her youth. Another suggestion, John Mellencamp- PAPER IN FIRE.

Your love and knowledge (and desire to learn) of music is infectious as opposed to others who do reactions that seem more like they just want to be seen and who interrupt constantly (one does it after about every 30 seconds). You wait and jump in at just the right times (to me, at least). So thanks for brightening some days

When CCR first started out John Fogerty's brother was the lead singer. They called themselves Tom Fogerty & the Blue Velvets. But they couldn't get a hit until John took over the lead vocals. They even did a stint as The Gollwogs and they all wore white afro wigs. It was 1967 when John took the reigns. He wrote much of CCR's catalog. Thought I'd seen them, then , I had a pop up of a long haired kid, old enough to be his dad, with a three string electric spade. Home made, playing " Ace Of Spades " on a spade ! So I had to see for myself. I'm not a paid anything, I was just that impressed with Justin Johnson ! Anything he can put strings to maybe make music gets electric guitar. An old wooden ironing board, turned into a steel guitar. Forte of blues !!!
