That’s awesome!! Welding is such a fun skill if you practice. I too need more time under the gun but Josh is so good at it. I’ll just let him do it 😂

Good Morning Bug, As per your request, at 11 my uncle taught me to ARC weld discs and plow blades that had cracked. Later I learned to MIG weld repairing tractors and my first off road truck. With my AG license at 12 came my first pickup, an older farm truck passed down to me with a whole lotta problems. I caught you folks wheelin with MORR and enjoyed your husband's attitude as Matt guided him. Putting confidence in anyone can be difficult but he stepped up, followed direction and got through some tough obstacles. Of course folks (men) watch your channel, some of us for the off roading and all of us for the Beautiful blond Joe is fortunate to have. My current project is a 87 Ford 3/4 ton pickup getting a new engine to replace the gas hound 460. I also have an 87 Goldwing that I am having to make my own brake lines for. No one makes stainless steel replacements for these old bikes so that is holding up my rebuild of the forks and brakes. I am hoping and praying your husband is getting better. Health in a relationship is important, when one is down the whole family can get down also and that can slow recovery. You are in my prayers Hoka Hey

GOAT Off Road Tire Recovery Team!! That did not look fun at all, and I feel for yall having to battle those Black Berry Vines and Bushes. I am really impressed with all the reinforcement plates yall got. I wish they made kits like that for my clapped out Dodges. I wouldn't worry at all about the weld through primer, The factory uses seam sealer all over the place on vehicles and since yall are using under coating it will be more than fine. Very impressed with Josh's welding skills. Welding vertical and on your back is no joke! I learned to weld with a Arc Welder welding junk iron on my off road trucks haha. Great job yall! The GOAT is coming together nicely and will be a beast on the trail!!!!

Recovery team back at it!!! One tire at a time 😂 It was actually kinda fun The frame stiffeners were a must, especially when we saw the crack in the frame. Also the Goat was in a front-end wreck before we got it so the frame is crinkled. The stiffeners are nice but a pain to install! Time consuming! But now the axles are done so the fun stuff can begin! Can’t wait to reveal the secrets I’ve been keeping!!! They’re good one!!! Thank you for always watching and commenting!!!! ❤️🐞

I learned stick welding on the farm when I was 12, from my neighbor. Tig welding in the early 00's, to rebuild my square body 79 Chevy P/up. I would recommend renting a plasma cutter to anyone doing any serious metal work on any type of vehicle. It's just so clean, and great edges.
@GoatOffroad2 жыл бұрын
Hey Benny! That’s awesome that a neighbor taught you at 12. Great trade to have but especially on a farm. We’ve always wanted a plasma cutter. But Josh wanted a fire wrench and he found a great deal on it. He’s really good at it too 👍

@@GoatOffroad Yeah, it was funny he was working in his shop, and would ask, "You sure you're getting that right?" Which I was in fact NOT, So I asked how he knew? (since he was no where near me) He said I can still hear you working, When you're "Makin' Bacon" (the sound of good stick welding) you're Golden. When you sound like a bird in a box window fan, you're just making chicken shit that won't hold. He said when you weld with your ears, as well as your eyes, you'll always do great things. I mean he screamed at me a lot to. This wasn't a Kung Fu, Master/Grasshopper moment. He did want things perfect. Which I totally got. It had his name on the bills. After a day or so, I was laying down perfect line, and when tested the weld held, were the metal tore. In the 70's Adults tried harder. Plus there wasn't Nintendo or Snapchat to distract my ADHD mind. lol! It was ride a bike, work next door, ride a bike, swim in a cold pond, ride, go home when the automatic lights came on. Tell my folks about my day, TV, and sleep. Next day same thing. And it was GREAT!!! Oh and all the Coke I could drink, when welding. From an old 1930's Coke machine, so icy cold! lol!

Man I hated that weld through primer doing my frame stiffeners. I guess practice is key. Made my welds all look like crap. If you search for Jody from Welding Tips and Tricks, he is how I learned to Tig. Mig I just self taught.
