As the bridge is now, it’s indeed dangerous. However, if the approach to the bridge (from both ends) were to be improved, the bridge would be relatively safe (in the absence of heavy rainfall). I’ve driven over “Flat Bridge” as I have over many other bridges. This is good entertainment!

I used to haul sugar from Inswood sugar estate that bridge used to have some round bump on the edge of it I pass cars on it ,draw Aluminum from Alcan Bauxite Plant with a blue ten wheeler Albion Leyland it Call it the barge has a long dump body Evol Shaw from May pen used to own that truck run it night and day see cars down in the river and all that that bridge did not have a traffic light back then my name is D Virgo asked any from around that little district Kent village they will tell you about that truck was sick had a crawler gear box in it shifting those gears got to let go stearin and working the 2 stick at the same , I really mist those days

On a serious note...... American trucks are just far too big for Jamaica, European trucks wouldn't have no problem negotiating flat bridge .......and we don't have to be in the gearbox so much carrying top weight.......waste of fuel ⛽ Just saying
