I dont think that because a fighter is throwing a million punches is winning the fight...or that a fighter pressures his opponent is winning the fight. The boxer with the most clean (noticable/accurate) punches should always win. Isnt that what judges score on?? Clean shots...not swinging arms. I believe the fight was scored accurately...and I'll be the first to admit I wouldnt have been upset if it was scored the other way bc Fig landed a ton of clean shots. If it wasn’t for Figueroa’s chin he would be fast asleep in that fight. However, he clearly out worked Fulton with pressure. Fulton landed the cleaner shots and that’s why he won. People seem to think if you pressure… you control, therefore you’re winning. If you’re pressuring but getting your head pin balled, you’re actually losing.

He's the most accurate puncher in boxing currently and his footwork, jab, and counter punching are all excellent. In fact a big reason why Inoue's punches are so good is due to his technique, he's truly mastered the art of throwing a punch. Seriously, watch one of his fights, it doesn't matter which one, and compare how much better Inoue's punches look compared to his opponents. Even a total novice can see it.

It could happen, Monster got bricks in his gloves. Inoue is no where near as big, or as strong as Figueroa. Plus Inoue stance is much more upright, his style is much technical. He will not be able to apply the same pressure as Figueroa. Inoue vs Fulton will be a chess match between two great boxers. figuearoa was definitely at it tonight ! but it is a terrible tight fight. looking at highlights it seems like a robbery to me, but it is possible that that algorithms and judges had the correct scores on their cards.

Watching the whole fight Fulton won his punches were more accurate. Figueroa had incredible endurance and kept coming forward but his lack of head movement and just defense all around is what cost him. He kept getting his head snapped back although he doesn’t go down it still looks pretty bad especially for scoring.

Fulton landed the cleaner punches. Figueroa was real sloppy and throwing a lot of wild punches. He didn’t have an answer for Fulton speed.
