Here is my interpretation of the MV and each of their characters. Jeonghan - He thought there was a problem with his vision, hence he consulted a doctor. But the glasses made him see clearer but at the same time the negatives. He realized that he doesn’t really need those glasses. I think it’s about the pressure of having a perspective similar from others and trying to accept that it’s okay to see it differently. Joshua- he was a meerkat at work. He keeps on peeking and looking around, probably yearning for belongingness or acknowledgement. Meerkats are known to be in groups, and get really sensitive with their environment. He then realizes that people appreciate him. He lent someone an umbrella and he received a gift as a token of gratitude. His coworkers also found him adorable like a meerkat bc he often looked around. Woozi- he was a recluse who never went out, similar to a hikkikomori. He was holdingn a puzzle piece that was only half of the missing pieces, probably to symbolize his view of himself not being enough to fit in. He got tired of food delivery, so he got a robot to do grocery shopping for him. He experienced the warmth of the elder woman who helped him. He gathered the courage to go outside and even gave flowers to the grandma. DK was taking an exam, some ppl said it was for pre employment. He was struggling a lot to the point where he wrote he just wants to be a rock. There was a caption written on the pics he had saying that rocks go through hard times to become smoother and round. There was a also a pic that said, the rock was 1st place in spacing out. He probably found comfort in those messages. Seungkwan- he was anxious of phonecalls and always ignoring them. His phone turned into a fish which probably only shows that it isn’t something he should be afraid of. He also gave more attention to it when it became a fish. You can see him practicing to press the receive call button using a bubble wrap, showing his efforts. All of these changes happened because they themselves took the initiative for self-help. The Tiny ISSUE club was like a support system for them share their troubles and help them get through it. The tiger at the end was a comic relief, but at the same time, it’s probably bc the song was inspired by what he said. One of Hoshi’s favorite quote was about our first time living this life.

My take on the fish was that it symbolises how sometimes we have no place to belong, but we are unique in our own way so let's just accept it as it is. And someday, we might find people who can accept it too. Just like Seungwan's talent as a vocalist and entertainer.

FOR CONTEXT ABOUT HOSHI'S CAMEO: hoshi explained at the concert that in one of the tour ments he made some mistakes and the members call him out saying "that wasn't right/it was a bit too much" so he apologize saying "sorry, it's my first time living today too" and then woozi had a moment of realization and started writing in his notes lol.

Jeonghan said during his Weverse live this week that neither his nor DK's pet rocks (Doljjong and Dodol) were used in the MV...that someone else's rock was used. It also wasn't thrown away. I guess it was a STUNT rock! 😁 As for Seungkwan, someone suggested the phone became something that got him out of the house and active again. I've wondered if maybe his issue with the phone was a tip of the hat to Moonbin no longer calling him. I LOVED Woozi trying to finish a puzzle with a piece that didn't fit...like how he felt he didn't fit into society and thus his social anxiety in going out. Something else to point out are the notations on the polaroids (found on Twitter/X). Perhaps you can confirm the verbiage since I can't read Korean to save my life!! SEUNGKWAN - 'I hope the day would come when my noisy alarm is less annoying' WOOZI - 'My friend who brought me out into the world' DK - 'With Dolkyeong (aka Dodol), who won first place in the idling contest'. JOSHUA - 'With the Shua-kat Club'. This goes back to the SHUAKAT CLUB poster that said, " 'We love how you look at us. Keep looking around like a meerkat and we will support you whatsoever, Shua-kat!' Apparently Joshua is a manager, because the note on the umbrella and cookies said, "'Asst. Manager Joshua, thank you for lending me your umbrella'...and thus the reason we see him standing in the rain at the beginning of the MV. JEONGHAN - 'Look directly at it, without glasses'. Turns out he didn't need glasses at all, and once he took them off he saw everyone as the individuals they really are, not as a meerkat (did you see the REAL LIVE meerkat sitting in Jeonghan's lap?? The goldfish symbolized opportunity and in SK's issue he became anxious in meeting new people. That's why in the first scene when someone calls him, he ignores it and try to escape from grabbing that opportunity.

You might not have noticed unless you zoomed in or noticed the banner but the club/banner is named Tissue Club but when you zoom in it says T(iny) Issue Club, the vocal team members were invited to it via cards and they all got together because of it (they all had their tiny issues). I think Hoshi is a cameo coz his tiny issue is he thinks he's a tiger, that is the issue why he's invited in the club. The vocal team all sort of resolved their issues but Hoshi as a new member has yet to resolve his.... Also for Woozi's invitation card to the club it looks like a stamp card for food so when he joins they'll give him food as incentive i think so he actually goes in person and leaves his house. For the first meetings his robot went instead of him but later on he did go in person....

"I'm sorry, It's my first time living, too." This quote from Hoshi, nearly got me on the egde. It hits so hard especially for people who barely hangs on the thread, not knowing who to talk to. SEVENTEEN, always reminding the carats to not put too much pressure and don't be too hard on ourselves is one of the sweetest things ever. Already a decade together and they still bring that same feeling of comfort and group hug.

From this video what I interpreted for jeonghan’s part is that he has different vision than other people like we can see in going seventeen episodes how he adds mischief in them and cheat for fun but some people take that in negative and has said bad things about him and tell him to do things how everyone does which implies to him seeing the same as everyone so for which he used glasses but he could only see everything blurry so at the end he removes his glasses and which implies that he accepts his different vision

OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU GUYS' REACTION TO THIS! I really enjoy your reactions and analysis on the lyrics of the MVs you watch so I was really looking forward to this. Also I have a kinda long analysis about the MV but I'll try to reduce it for this comment: Woozi - Social Anxiety. He thinks he doesn't fit in society (there's a frame of him with a puzzle piece) and only have his food delivered, a shut in maybe. After joining the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, he tried going out by controlling his robot, like testing the waters, before eventually going outside by himself to thank the lovely old lady and hangout with the rest of the vocal unit. Joshua - He takes care of his department as an Assistant Manager and thinks that all his effort to do so remains unnoticed by them. Meerkats are known to be protective of their gang that's why it's his representation for this MV. After joing the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, he received a note thanking him for lending them his umbrella and realizing his effort to help his department are seen and they love him for always looking after them. Seungkwan - He's afraid of being perceived and constantly ignores calls and messages. Related to it is the goldfish bowl idiom where one felt their actions are always being watched. He tried releasing his phone fish back on the ocean and returning it to the phone shop which was both denied meaning he has to solve it himself. Eventually after joining the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, he started to be open about it towards the members and when it was shown that he's popping the answer button on the bubble wrap, it meant he's finally stopped caring how he's perceived and the popping of the bubble wrap might also mean he doesn't need unnecessary protection for himself anymore and just let life be. DK - Uncertainty of the future. On his paper, he answered rock (돌) for his future aspirations which could probably mean he's not looking forward to the future or he's anxious about moving forward. During his time on the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, he learned how to let himself be free by throwing Dolkyeomie (the rock) and he also looked on a frame with another rock which could be someone he's looking up to and finally found an inspiration to keep going. Jeonghan - Avoiding the future. His eyeglasses are both blurred so he can't read the 'FOREVER IS A LIE' on the Snellar chart during his vision acuity test meaning he doesn't want to accept the fact that everything is finite. By the end, after joining the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, we saw him remove his glasses and see the members as themselves and even returned the glasses to the ophthalmologist and has decided to see things as they are. Hoshi - Other than being Woozi's inspiration to write Cheers to Youth, his Tiny Issue might be thinking he's an actual tiger. Hope this analysis helps, CARATs! I spent 2 hours writing my theories and analysis right when the MV was released lmao I hope no one steals this and claim it as theirs tho ehe. Ofc these might not be accurate but it's the best I can do :>
