I may have cried at that age. I've busked before but with at least one other so I would hyperfocus on the act of "practicing together" in order to hopefully get my brain to treat everyone else like my nose and essentially removed from my vision in order for attention-caused panic to not settle in, despite being ok with attention being the whole point in this form of exposure therapy.

The dresses and outfits for this event were absolutely GLORIOUS. Like, there was one lady, she was black and had this GLORIOUS white and silver diamond inspired ensemble and she looked STUNNING. What a waste, like, why not have a walk for all of these fabulous costumes?
@nicki64054 ай бұрын
Right! It's so sad to think about how many people put so much time, effort, and money into their costumes to have a fun Bridgerton-themed experience, just to get there and be way more dressed up and on-theme than the actual event itself 😢

the pole dancer even came out to say she was a performer who offered things like ariel suspension (i think) and other really cool things but the organizers chose the cheapest thing she offered (the pole dancing) while hiring her LITERALLY HOURS before the event😭 I feel so bad for her *i was only halfway through the vid and didn’t realize austin covered this but it still baffles me lol

Tink is not just a “stripper”! She is an aerial artist! Look at her page! She’s talented
@aduckofsomesort4 ай бұрын
That is the type of pole performance she did at this event, at the request of the event organizers.
@thanksguiseppe10554 ай бұрын
just a stripper? where do you think these "aerial artists" learned their craft😒
@coyoteartist4 ай бұрын
I understand why people would say a stripper Now this woman is an oddity in that she's an aerialist and so above just pole dancing. However pole dancing when done well is an art like any other kind of dance or acrobatics and should at least be given the dignity of being called as such. A strip tease artist doesn't even need a pole to do a proper job. Clubs have them more as a tool, to enhance the range of the act.
@cierra72463 ай бұрын
@@thanksguiseppe1055 actually no. aerial artists typically know more techniques than pole dancing (and i'm not talking about lap dances; i'm talking about actual aerial movements that require body strength and skill). second, an aerial artist's performance usually isn't about selling sex. no legit aerial artists are being taught anything by strippers.
@thanksguiseppe10553 ай бұрын
@@cierra7246 have you ever been a stripper. you clearly do not know what you are talking about. your opinion is clearly anti sex work rhetoric and it is not appreciated

@@saadbunni I really appreciate Austin's takes on interesting online occurrences like this, and am more than happy to wait for creators I enjoy to put together videos they are happy with, instead of needing to be the first to react. Some of my favourite YT documentaries cover events which happened years ago, but are being chronicled in the present day in a fun and engaging way. If you don't enjoy content of that nature to the point where it feels like 'brainrot', it's totally valid to try another form of content instead, or check out other areas of KZbin which might be more engaging to you.

When I hear about these scams, I wonder what the set-up process was. Did the organizers actually say to each other, let’s scam these people and put out a fake apology later? It’s hard to think people rub their hands together and willingly act like villains.
@TheCatBilbo4 ай бұрын
Some obviously do, but I suspect most set out with good intent. They just don't get organised, or get overwhelmed, or don't have the experience.

I’m suspicious things like this happen a lot more often than we think!!! That Vincent Van Gogh experience sounded like complete bs and then I saw reviews on it and I WAS RIGHT! pisses me off that people will make these overhyped and over priced events and just profit from hard working people who’d rather do something else with their time than be tricked like this. I value my time and money and this would’ve made me punch someone’s kid honestly.

@TheCatBilbo4 ай бұрын
Good grief, it's not that difficult: classy venue, some security, hire suitable accoutrements for set-dressing. Hire a trio, or quartet to play Georgian music. Food if you must, but you have to have cutlery/china/glass (so make guests pay a deposit so you get them back!). Period drinks that can be served quickly. Mood lighting (preferably candles but fire risk).
