Lance could have a whole new model or line in the next few years! Never know what they’re cooking up lol

That is a smoking deal! When people question why Lance truck campers are so expensive, it’s like Ranger bass boats. They’re among the best of the best. Our 2021 Lance 1172 is built like a tank. Step inside a cheaper built camper and push on the walls and feel the movement. You won’t feel that movement in the interior walls on a Lance. Not knocking towable RV’s at all because we’ve owned three. But, to me, the best selling points to a truck camper are numerous. Ease of travel. Easy in and out on fuel and restaurant stops. No registration or safety inspections that some states require. No brakes, wheels, tires, wheel bearings, or suspension parts to replace. Just put the camper in the bed of your truck and go.
@itsbradКүн бұрын
You nailed it! People don’t realize as well that the cheaper grade models are actually more expensive to own. You spend the money upfront to purchase Lance, but get most of it back when you sell it vs. the cheaper brands losing 50% of their value once you take it home. Cheaper brands end up costing them more to actually own in the long run.

Unfortuntly when I bought my Ram 2500 CTD in 2015 didn't know much about payloads it only has about 2000lb payload. If I had known would have bought a 3500. It pays to do research before you buy.
@itsbradКүн бұрын
Believe that model truck has coil springs in the rear, correct? You could install Timbrens or Dual Pathway Airbags and carry a SQ825 or 650 just fine
@EsoxBlackКүн бұрын
Same boat. I need a 3500. 4 people in the smaller campers with no slide just feels too tight.
@itsbradКүн бұрын
I was more referring to one or two person campers lol for four, yes, you’re definitely going to want something a bit larger
@TanjaJeffКүн бұрын
can you sit in dinette slide when it is in the in position?
@itsbradКүн бұрын
I’ve been told that’s not recommended in any campers with a slide since it’s not supported while retracted

Is that an attractive key holder above the door?
@americanrvtraveler2446Күн бұрын
Great showing of this unit however, I still have a hard time of the retail cost of Truck campers. For thye price, one can have a TT with 4 times the room.
@itsbrad22 сағат бұрын
@@americanrvtraveler2446 Truck Campers are for people who camp where you can’t get to with TT’s. Or for people who still want to take their boat, horse/motorcycle trailer, etc. Jobsites. Truck Campers are way more versatile, you don’t pull in a gas station planning your path to get out. No scheduling campgrounds around length limits. I’ve never understood why people who “camp” use the “more room” comment. Who cares if there’s more room, it’s a place to sleep, 💩, shower, and shave. The cost comes from higher end European imported materials to build, higher end (truma) appliances, onboard generators, $5k electric jacks, and almost TWICE the amount of labor hours to build, avg tt takes 130 man hours, these take 240 on avg. just because it doesn’t sit on axles and wheels (more maintenance) doesn’t mean it should be cheap.

@@itsbrad weak reply by a typical salesman, you missed the point ya dummy, of course youll exceed on all the good points and shun away from any of the bad points like just tapping on the sink and saying plastic can crack should be replaced with a metal sink. Will always buy used from a private seller and stay away from commission motivated con jobs.

Price isn’t the issue, for some reason this model went cold. If price was the issue, we wouldn’t be turning the other models in the $40k-$70k range. People know what they’re buying when they purchase a Lance. You get what you pay for.
