It's not so much about the dangerous ingredients, it's the simple fact that Americans totally ruined their taste. There are studies where people chose the artificial flavored chemicals as the "real" fruit, neglecting the actual real fruits. It's all about unrealistic flavors and sweetness. It's unbelievable how much sugar there is in absolutely every food sold in the US.

@It`s okay. I agree. What I meant was, that due to the conditioning, almost nobody even questions those unhealthy foods. Why eating a fresh, expensive strawberry, when the cheap artificial product tastes so much sweeter, and so on.

Its made with European ingredients. 85% of the Coca-Cola in the Netherlands for example is made with Dutch water and European approved ingredients. Every American brand sold in Europe is made in Europe. Nutella for example makes a special Nutella version for the American market. European Nutella taste completely different. Because Americans don't like our version it's not sweat enough for them.

@@YoungMorningkeeper it's the same Nutella you get everywhere in Europe it's all made in Italy. Since it is an Italian brand. But I personally don't like it. Have not dat it in years. I mainly buy Dutch brand chocolate paste. It's cheaper as well. It's called orinoko. Not sure if it is Dutch because there is also French text on it. But I like that one more. So many of these foods are, in fact, available in the EU. It's not the particular product, but the ingredients that are banned so, in the EU, among other places, they just use different ingredients. Charlie, you said several times, 'Just don't use the bad ingredients' and that's exactly what many other countries do. In the US the companies use the cheapest option, aided and abetted by the government, because it is paid legal bribes by big corporations to keep potentially life-threatening ingredients in the food supply.

@@metalvideos1961 you don’t seem to understand that most of our seeds are GMO too. Genetically modified organisms. It’s why we can grow potatoes and wine in all sorts of climates. It’s the pesticide that come with it that are really bad. And they are mostly owned by the toxic company Monsanto/Bayer. America does spray formaline on any crops like wheat. In Europe those pesticides are band on the crops for food but do get used on crops like cotton for clothing. GMO’s are not bad. But they’re owned by a dangerous reckless company with too much freedom (thank you America) and bad motives. they’re risky and need to be regulated.

@@adriaandoelman2577 yes seeds in america are indeed full with GMOs you're right. that doesnt mean all seeds in the world are. France, Germany, Austria, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Poland, Denmark, Malta, Slovenia, Italy and Croatia have chosen a total ban. Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium has opted out, as well as Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland this are the countries in europe who banned GMOs completely. the seeds in america are indeed pumped full with GMOs. You want to read a good article to how dangerous the pesticide is to humans? the Roundup? people in Argentina in some regions are literally born with black marks on their skin birth defects cancers you name it. its so bad that they have Glyfosate rainfall. all because they live to close to a GMO soy farm. The video you showed me shows exactly the superficial way of GMOs that they are good for you and what not. they dont show real evidence. But if you rather want to believe a video then doing your own research be my guess. but there is a reason why countries ban the use of GMOs. they dont do that for the fun of it. and you talk about being used for cotton. do we consume cotton? no we dont. so doest hat have risk for our health? no it doesnt. so thats a strange comparison. GMOs are not healthy to consume.

A lot of these things are available outside the US, we have betty crocker, pop tarts and ritz crackers here in Australia but they are different as they have to meet our food and safety protocols. Famously many US food companies have failed miserably here as they fail to understand the local market and tastes, MacDonald's and KFC for example have some key menu differences and of course are subject to our requirements for food products, there is a KZbin video out there (can't remember where) that is about why Starbucks failed here and that would cover a lot of info, oh and the BHA stuff, simply put, remember the Butyric acid from the chocolate? Basically the same stuff but in a form can actually cause your cells to mutate and that is what they mean by carcinogenic, mutated cells are the one that can become cancerous so the more mutated cells you have in your body the more likely you are to develop cancer, hope that helps a bit, love your channel 💕

even if "one serving of product x" (servings on labels are unrealistically small) would stick to some "legally safe" limits, a second serving would get you to twice the limit. and if you eat one serving of each of several of these items (with eg that yellow color that was mentioned several times in this video), you'll easily get to quite some multiple of those limits. btw: anyway, those limits mostly are only a compromise between unavoidable and dangerous ...

Lots of good info. I wish American corporations did like the EU. Arby's is good once-in-a-while. I can't believe they got rid of their potato cakes!! Stove Top stuffing is NOT tasty!! Charlie, NNOO!! Pop-Tarts are TOO SWEET!! They use those dyes because it cheap. Big business will try to use the cheapest ingredients for the most profit. They could care less about people's health. Charlie, don't recommend foods with carcinogenic ingredients, please...

The supermarket i work at sells pop tarts at 1.89 singles and 6,50 4 pack. Twizzler packs at 6,99 and Calypso drinks at 2,99 are also populair products, They are all suger rush products and any adult would grab a cheaper alternative, but dutch kids love spending their allowance and small pay checks on american products. We also have american monster energy, 2,49 a can. ( reg 1,79 ) the fun fact is its not allowed in the EU so poland makes a lot of these american products with illigal substances with alternatives to sell on the EU market.

Most of the mentioned stuff are not banned here in Finland - per se - but our food chains just don't carry them... I don't recall the exact year, but over 12 yrs ago those most dangerous additives were a hot topic here in Finland and most of them just quietly were drawn back from the stores and never returned. But since the selection always changes over time we really didn't want for anything and haven't felt like we've missed out on something, You were wondering abt the 5yr change over time, for the certain company to loose the artificial/unhealthy stuff... they obviously want to use their stock of the ready made stuff and the materials and not go "cold turkey" withdrawing everything from the shops to burn it all, then thoroughly wash all the production lines or build new ones perhaps to be absolutely sure the new batches to be 100% clean to begin with.

What really is shocking for a non-US person is how much "pre-made" everything is.... You need some stuffing? Leftover and bread. You want a brownie? Flower, chocolate and butter. They are only "nice" because of taste enhancers, but it's really nasty. People need a palate cleansing, and go back eating natural, tasteful things (and it still can be junk food, like fries or brownie).

Removing all chemicals from product is surtenley good for health but this will lead to an increase in the price of the product itself. Because natural ingredients are expensive. And such large manufacturers usually want to receive money and not spend it. So..here is the answer to the question "Why not just remove the chemicals?"

You say that you like most of what was shown and that's fair enough but when you add it all together you are basically living on a load of chemicals and far too much salt. Just think what that's doing not just to your body but to your brain! You say you don't drink much milk - OK but what is cheese made from? Before you buy anything - read the ingredients! Even McDonald's fries are full of chemicals. In Europe/UK they are made from potatoes cooked in oil. Check the difference. In other words - please eat more healthily and look after yourself - especially given the cost if you do get ill.

The sad thing is: farm raised salmon would also be stupid, if it would be raised as good, clean and ecofriendly as possible. People think they do something good to the sealife, when they are eating farm raised fish, because the fish wasn't cached in the sea. But guess what: salmons are eating fishes. And how do the farm raised fishes get their food? someone has to go fishing. So farm raised fish leads to more fishing, than just fishing the fish we want to eat.

Should Europeans really consider themselves missing out on stuff like pop-tarts? An American family moved to Denmark and in this video they tell us why. In most of their Tuesday videos they have a 'Try it on Tuesday'-segment and in this one pop-tarts come in to play. Travelin' Young - Why we moved to Denmark: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGncdYiqqr1goaM Travelin' Young has other videos too, that I think will interest you - like 'Leaving America for Europe - Copenhagen, Denmark - We are now Americans living abroad', 'Our First Trip to DK and What We'd Change Today - A breakdown of our 2012 trip to DK', 'We interview Rufus Gifford as we celebrate the 4th of July at Tivoli Gardens.'
