Hahahaha! That you are seriously analyzing this... I have watched this with my friends several times in the old days and still now we shout things like 'Ajax!' and mimic all the other crazy shit they do. As a Dutchman I sort of feel honored that people on the other side of the planet actually watch this 😃

I can't imagine this being funny for a non native Dutch person. They talk stereotypical Dutch student language, very specific rich boys accent (kak). One of their first question is always "did you f***" (which Google does not translate to English as far as I can see it). THere is one episode where they insult the pizza delivery guy and then they throw him out the window as a " joke"

The pizza guy sketch is legendary! I agree, the "eeuwig student" (Being a university student to well into your 30's) vibe is important.

Jiskefet is the Dutch Monty Python, quite absurd humor that is very difficult to understand without a lot of specific (local) background knowledge.. It would take 1000 words to even start trying to explain it, so I won't try. I will only say that they were very good, second only to van Kooten en de Bie, the Grandmasters of Dutch Comedy.

jiskefet ran on Dutch tv from 1990 to 2005. They had several recurring themes, like Debiteuren/Crediteuren (office humor) and the lullo's you see here (students). I love the Ajax clock, but then I live in Amsterdam.

These episodes is called the "lullo's", something like the fockers. It is about 3 old age living like in a student house with all the mess known to it as the socks can be everywhere. Another famous series by these guys is "Debiteuren Crediteuren", it is about 3 guys in an office with every day the same rituals. And there are more stuff like as German WWII soldiers and a funny sketch is the "hidden sound system"

In The Netherlands football/soccer environment Ajax is the big one. Biggest budget, biggest players who moved on to do great things etc. Their homebase is Amsterdam, always has been. Their main rivals are Feyenoord, from Rotterdam. These are some very serious rivalries. Hooligans literally meeting up for hand-to-hand combat and people actually die. I was born in Amsterdam a few blocks away from the stadium, but I am glad I never got into that football culture. The most I did was play goalkeeper at my local football club in Hoofddorp, a large town next to Schiphol Airport which should be named Hoofddorp Schiphol Airport instead of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, cause Hoofddorp is the closest town! I mean, the Hoofddorp McDonald's is right next to one of the runways and a perfect spot to watch planes land. I used to do this: I'd ride my bike to the McDonald's, order a McFlurry M&M's and sit outside watching planes land.

the gentlemen of Jiskefet. have a very special way of making their program. the rule was if more than one of the gentlemen laughed it came in their show. i think you can best compare them with the young ones or Bottem or Black adder. real english humor but then really focused on the dutch side. i could always enjoy it very much. but then i have a lot with the english humor. also take a look at bottem or the young ones i would say. but as always keep up with your channel.

Often it's improvisation, they take a topic to do a sketch and go from there, in this part they don't always hear what the other one is saying, like the part where they want him to have 5 good answers. The third one comes in and starts talking about socks, he gets an 'I don't know' answer as he goes on, he's playing with Dutch words and I don't think even the Dutch heard it. Saying in Dutch Hoe vin je die,and saying it faster Hoe finnedi...George...Obviously he knows more about Ajax as he points to a great Ajax player Finidy George...They,the other 2 didn't hear it so there was no extra score.Not needed as they already knew before the improv started that he would be wrong about which game they were travelling to and he was dismissed to travel with them.There are loads of other vids but I don't know if there are easier ones. One I can think of is about English sport, more about the English commentators, they made it so absurd./// (Jiskefet is a word that they use in Friesland,so not a real common Dutch word , it means something like garbagecan)
@platinaatje6134Сағат бұрын
Ajax = soccer club from Amsterdam, biggest rival is Feyenoord from Rotterdam. It is always 010 (Rotterdam) vs 020 (Amsterdam) rivalry. PSV is soccer club from Eindhoven (Philips Sport Vereniging)

This show is comprised of lots of different sketches by the same 3 actors and their entourage. My favourite one was a guy and his wife in which the wife always tried to be reasonable with her guy, who was completely and totally being his very weird self. These sketches always ended with her yelling at him that she wanted him dead. Funnily enough, his name was Oboema. In that time we hadn't heard about Obama at all. So that must have been coincidental.

Living together in an almost condemned building. No one does the dishes. Life's all about beer and getting laid. Your basic frat boys. The video you posted is extra hard to understand cause it's all about Ajax. Try some of their other posts.
