What's funny for Dutch people too is that the teacher is speaking Dutch with a very heavy German accent.

I actually played as an extra in this series. It was so fun to see, and the actors were really nice to us too. Not all of them were the stereotype rich actor that ignores anyone ''lesser'' than him. Some actually went to have a chat with us. Like the one playing the character ''Barteljaap'' I remember being super nice. And also the guy who used to play sinterklaas, who is in 1 episode, was having the best time of his life. Even allowing us to take a selfie with him and some others:) Again really nice people! (it was really diificult to hold back laughing in certain scenes though hahaha)

This series is absolute gold! It's hilarious. So, to give some background on this scene. The teacher is portrayed as a nazi. He literally hides jews behind a hatch in the classroom. He's teaching German, but he was actually hired to teach something different (don't remember what). It was actually the girls bunny that was in the box. She took it to school and the teacher took it away from her.

Since he is from Germany, he is 'the German teacher'. But he is not teaching German. He really wants to teach German. He is teaching social studies (maatschappij leer).

@SwiffMeister ah yes that was it! Thanks for clarifying:)

@SwiffMeister he carefully calls himself a German teacher, not a teacher OF German

Teacher (named Heydrich) is a German teacher of social sciences but he wants to teach German language so in another clip he makes them spell Lebensraum and the character is just full of Nazi references. He has jews locked up in a classroom closet, plays with a toy train etc etc. It's all very over the top and ridiculous.

Based on the premise that everyone's worst and most hated teacher in highschool in the Netherlands was always the German language teacher. I know mine was.
@GerbenWijnja11 сағат бұрын
He's speaking with kind of a fake German accent, wears German clothes, has a swastika Lego windmill, Lego figures with their left arm up, a model train set with deportation wagons, big WW2 map behind him on the wall, so he's openly adoring WW2, and he teaches German. The fact that they're all toys make it ridiculously funny. Later in the series it turns out he's teaching German secretly, because he's actually supposed to be teaching social studies. There's a whole story behind the guinea pig in the breadbox, I'm not even sure anymore what it was. It was her pet, and she lost it I think, and he reveals he kept it in his drawer or so. This series is bizarre and funny at the same time. I've had that music as my ringtone for a while. 😄

The ""RUNDFUNK S02E01 SC04 DE LERARENKAMER (NL, FR & EN SUBTITLES)" is really funny; or (perhaps for more context; only auto-translations unfortunately): "Leraar Duits wordt ontmaskerd | RUNDFUNK" and of course "rundfunk pipi laten zien english subs"

This one from Waardenberg en de Jongh is a good one too. They are known for their dirty and weird humor, in which they usually go too far. Their expressive acting skills are also insanely good. Very Dutch. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eYGkfWaPh7Vkec0si=2MrYsTye9L4DHqgx
