My personal position is to always push back the physical intimacy so that when a connection is made/felt, I can be fairly certain that it's not the smaller head leading but rather the heart and the bigger head telling me that there is a more substantial foundation to the relationship, whether it's common values, interests, life goals etc. Of cos, this takes time to discover but I'd rather invest the time and effort learning about it than jumping into a physical relationship and spend significant time in it only to discover much later that we're not a good match afterall. All that time wasted, not to mention hurt and pain suffered/caused. Not really a good approach, no?

How to see the light at the end of the tunnel for LDR ? One party must end up uprooting their life to move to the other country eventually, which may be difficult for some people.
