For anyone considering it, lasik is probably the best decision I've ever made - I would 100% do it again. My contact prescription was -7.5, and I can honestly say it is life changing.

@@TheSameNameasYou As someone who has had it for more than a year, I actually had some issues with focusing because of how bad my eye was, I only did 1 eye bc my other was 20/20, so they actually recommended me glasses lol. So if you're doing both eyes, that won't be an issue, although I'm not sure. I've gotten a lot better and it's because I use sunglasses religiously when I go outside. ALWAYS have sunglasses on you. Protecting your eye is super important, especially with how expensive LASIK is lol. I do experience dryness, but it's better bc I bought preservative-free eye drops, which are recommended for LASIK eyes. They are more expensive but you will def help your eye(s) in the long run. Follow the plan they give you and you'll be okay. Just know that what Cody said is true AF. The surgery is intense and honestly has traumatized me a bit lol, in terms of I will NEVER do it again, even if my other eye gets bad. As long as you take the Xanax, or whatever pill they prescribe you, and you're relaxed, you will be okay. Don't be afraid to ask someone to hold your hand, it made me feel A LOT better! Good luck :)

I’m going to be a freshman, and the idea of coming into my first college season after an injury really scared me at first but watching you come back from your injuries and just love the process as much as you do reminded me of why I’m doing it in the first place. Hey Cody 👋🏻 I love all your content but this channel has really inspired me. I’m a veteran turned SAHM who struggles with alcoholism. After a relapse one month ago, I rediscovered this channel looking for positivity and moto but then you talked about showing up for myself. I hadn’t been working out/running consistently in a long time but I started running 1.5 miles every day on/off treadmill and lifting again. I gave myself a goal like you said…today I ran a 5k in 30 min! That’s almost as good as I used to do in high school XC. Thanks for reminding me that you gotta just get up and do it and keep doing it, results will follow. I’ve lost 5 pounds, sleeping good, feeling better and clearer mentally. I loved lasik! First 2 days post op I could see perfectly then it got blurry for a week or two now I can see perfectly although night vision is a little rough. Got it done for my first tri which I just finished yesterday as well. We’re ascending together !

I always give people a warning cause mine went horrifically and I had an entire year i had trouble reading or looking at screens and could barely go outside or drive my car. luckily im better now for the most part and i know its a small percentage of people but if youre considering it do realize that there is risk involved however unlikely it is

Had my lasik 23 years ago. Still better than 20/20 most of the time. No regrets ever till now. Having cataract surgery in two weeks. The flat cornea presents some difficulty in getting measurements for new lens. I remember being scared before and reliving those feelings again now.

Another Lasik gal here. 👋 I had my surgery when I was 18 years old, and I remember I was scared because it's a) an uncertainty and b) a very vulnerable part of your body. But it was a very fast procedure. The hard part for me was after the surgery, my eyes really hurt like never before or after. But again, it wasn't for very long and the benefits of a good healthy sight outgrow that pain. Now, I'm 31 and still see clearly and appreciate it a lot. No more foggy glasses or itchy eyes because you need to take the contacts out.
