While it is true I've stated that many times in the past, I've been heavily involved with content of this game more so as I've been streaming regularly on twitch for the last year. Also, I'm a bit more mature now and have a better grip on how I balance different things in my life, and I dedicate a certain amount of time to making content of this game. My goal is to make good videos for this game for 2024, and then perhaps reassess if I want to keep making more or not depending on how it goes.

The first time I played as a child, I always used Mirror Wall and kept winning with this card because I didn't understand English and It was my only strategy at the time. Recently, I played again and discovered the game has many strategies. My favorite is using Permanent Spellbound to win every game by cornering the boss with its own cards.

It's an extremely strong card, and the fact the AI never takes it into account, and also never consciously attempt to remove it, lets you cheese the entire game with it.

The biggest slap as a player is realizing Ishitsu is playing Mirror Wall but that card is password-only and not even in Destiny Draw... What's the point of the Library if we're not meant to 100% it without "cheats"? I guess some feature was removed during the game's design...

I remember I thought the Dark Hole password was fake because I kept entering in capital 'o' instead of the number 0!

So this is the video you talked about! Yeah, I pretty much used mirror wall to beat the entire game, hahaha.... 1:30 - When I was a kid I always wonder why the list of passwords I've found in these sites where so small... I never saw the full list back then! Thanks for showing me that! 👍

Fairy King Truesdale was my "Go to" starter deck growing up with the game. Plants were always so strong imo, and eventually Id try and get a Pumpking and eventually get 3 and use him as my main boss monster and have 2 just constantly powering him up. (Or 5 total if I could manage it)

I was always confused as a kid because barrel dragon said "card other than own" so I assumed it would destroy only my opponent's cards, but it was just another poor translation. Still a favorite though, I would spend so long as a kid farming bandit keith for a proper machine deck and then just barrel dragon sweep everybody

Weirdly, the French version has some weird translation but that card's effect was correct, saying it's the equivalent of "itself"

Cool fact, Tactical Warriors first appearance was in Duelist Of The Roses, It was later released in Structure Deck Joey over in Japan about a month and a half later, saw its first anime appearance a year later and eventually hit the worldwide market in 2004. But in literally every other piece of media It's name has been Command Knight, so for whatever reason in DOTR it has the wrong name. Its also level 5 instead of level 4!

Duelists of the Roses features translations of cards that didnt have an established english name, hence why. Also, DotR in general has a trend of giving a monster 5 SP instead of 4 if it has a collective atk/def of around 3000 - a handful of monsters reflect this, including Serpentine Princess and High Tide Gyojin. Even Twin-Headed Behemoth is a 4 star instead of a 3 in DotR without its effect, making it similar to other 4 SP dragons in terms of ATK and DEF.

All of the Deck Leaders in DotR debuted in DotR. The only cards that were released at the same time as or before DotR that were deck leaders in it were the ones that came with it as promo cards in the Japanese version. All the Immortals also debuted here, this was the first thing with Shapesnatch in it.

I whish there was a game mode, where you can literally get ALL the juicy cards as a moderate drop chance, level up way faster and have different chellanging oponents. Maybe havin opponents with stronger monsters, spell and trap cards, but also be able to obtain all these cards against them. that would be nice!

As a kid I loved this when ps2 was the main console to have back then but I realized it made the game incredibly easy and therefore not as challenging or “fun” I don’t mind not having blue eyes throughout the whole game but still cool vid as always Clovis 👌🏼

Aqua Dragon was the HERO of my childhood! Specially when I played Yorkist side first and went up against Mako. _GOD, that beautiful beast saved me so many times..._ 😇🙏 Other Cards I remember searching up passwords for were: - Barrel Dragon, very solid guy, but like you said, best flipped before you put any other cards on the field. - Magician of Faith, whose effect I regret to say I failed to use properly, most of the time I used her to Fusion-summon Dark Witch. Shame really, since she has such a great Effect! - Meteor Dragon, which eas solid but I had no Red Eyes Black Dragon, so I was always robbed of the best dragon Fusion I could've had. 😭 - The Head and Left Arm of Exodia, *which I never could put to use because I always failed to get his other parts.* 😫😭 _(although I think I did once get the Right Leg out of the graveyard slots)_

Can i beat DotR with skeleton monsters only with Skull Servant as the deck leader(That's how he became the king)? Hard mode, skelly boys only(Mammoth Graveyard and Goldfine is off-limits).

There are only 6 monsters with "Elf" in their name in the English version, Clovis! There are many more in the Japanese version, and Elf's Light works on all of them too. This is probably most important with Elf Swordsman, who has 1400 attack and is thus the strongest thing you can equip the card to (well, "Strongest", but Holy Elf has 800 + an ability that boosts by 800 so it ends up being stronger)

i think the tree of enlightenment can still be used in trap deck,just switch it in attack mode if u want to play around it

Love this game. I have a ps2 and dotr at my parents house and whenever I go back to visit I’m playing constantly. Really should get another copy for where I’m at now and just move the memory cards back and forth. Side note, would love this game to be on steam! I’d personal disable the battle animations (I always turn em off anyways) and I’d alter the XP and ranks but otherwise keep everything else, graphics included!

The other immortals dont have passwords. Plus, this video was about the original list of passwords that were released in the early 2000's, not the full list data mined in the late 2010's.
