When I first started my store I asked my friends and family what shirts they wanted and designed things specifically for them and listed them, then gave them personal discount codes and they left reviews for me. Surprisingly, the designs they wanted turned out to be designs other people wanted too and it grew from there. Hope this helps. 💕

I am just breaking into the print on demand side of etsy, my main focus has been my 3D printing. With every order that I box up, I have a small thank you flyer with QR code for 10% off next order. This little method has generated a bunch of good reviews.

Thanks for watching! ❤ With shipping if you have it set to 'free shipping' on your Etsy shop, you as the seller pays. If it's not free shipping, you're customer will pay(but you still pay Printify to ship out to the customer). Hopefully this makes sense and helps! :)

At what point, in terms of views and clicks, should I turn off Etsy Ads for a listing if it hasn't resulted in any sales? I currently have my Ads turned on for all of my 510 listings on my POD store since last 3 months with budget of $500/ day wherein my budget usage never crosses more than $35 per day. I get that this works for digital products, but for products that have real ingredients, it's not really possible to lower the cost, without loosing money. For instance, I make mostly organic, vegan skin and hair care, the price of the ingredients, such as olive oil, have increased so much, I am actually selling for just the cost of making. Never mind getting paid for the producing of the items. Is this something you would cover in a video?

So I had a customer who gave me a 3 star review after her package was lost during the holidays. I gave her a refund but didn’t cancel the order. Can you clarify; should I have refunded AND cancel the order in order to prevent a review? Thanks in advance!

Honestly if someone comes to you with a request for a refund, give it to them but don't just refund them. Cancel the order instead, that will usually auto-refund them at the same time AND etsy will refund your fees to you. Cancelling doesn't stop them leaving a review but the ability to do so is only for 48 hours after cancellation. Reviews are great to have, but if they had a bad experience, it's highly likely they'll leave a bad one, and that's worse than no review at all. The trade-off is that Etsy now sees you as a seller who is quick to keep a customer happy and that's great for your Customer Experience metrics. If you do get a 3 or lower, just reply with polite understanding and mention how quick you were to resolve it. It is at least a chance for you to show how committed you are to customer satisfaction.

You shouldn't be paying for returns. Tell them to file an Etsy protection program report. Etsy will pay for the return as long as the customer pays shipping.

@@naylak5718 the buyer should be paying for the return shipping yes, but there's only a *very* slim chance Etsy will cover the refund at all. You have to go through several hoops to be eligible for that protection as a seller, many do not qualify. You can't even really require that the buyer send something back, since they can just open a case anyway and get refunded entirely without returning the product, especially if your store policies say 'returns not accepted'. Offering good customer service and cancel/refunding means you have a chance of getting your stuff back and you're refunded your fees. Never ask a customer to file a claim for a refund. Not only will that go on your record as having a case opened but the customer will feel like it was a fight to get their money back and they can leave a vindictive review.

Monster Digital has always been the most reliable and consistent. I've used plenty of the POD providers(over 20+) and have stuck to MD and SwiftPOD. I think all are great though and there's a lot of newer print providers that are just as good. I've just always used those two since the beginning of my own shop but I've heard great reviews for over providers. The ratings on Printify are pretty accurate so it's good to look through those as well. Thanks for watching! ❤

Thank you heather for your videos, but I have a question; I’ve seen stores selling tshirts for $8 dls with a discount of X%. So how much somebody will price their shirt if somebody is selling theirs for that lower price.

If you click into the listings most of the time these shops are doing a loss leader method where they have a toddler or baby onesie at $8. Most of those listings at the sweatshirt or t-shirt price are usually around $15 to $20 in inspecting the listings. I would research into the average market price of the t-shirts only- not the lowest price that other sellers have if that makes any sense. You do not need to sell under $8 to compete or use the price staggering method talked about in this video. I would still sell a BC at the lower end(around $15 per t-shirt) and then increase as my reviews increase. Hoepfully this makes sense and thanks for watching! ❤
